How to open up Argus on boosted toon?

I have a 120 boosted toon, but can’t figure out how to open up Argus from Legion? I don’t even have the opening quest in Dalaran. No Dalaran hearth, nothing. At least, I don’t think I do.

I do have broken shore opened. But can’t seem to get the quest for Argus.

You need to do the scenario that leads you to the broken shore (legion’s 8.2 or 8.2.5 patch) then the Argus portal will open.

Make sure to finish all the intro quests for that scenario.

I did the scenario that opens up broken shore. No Argus portal opened.

i think you have to progress you order hall campaign somewhat and also your artifact weapon to concordance with Khadgar

Turn one quest tracker to also see low level quests, “trivial” and you should then use your Dalaran Hearthstone and it should be a quest in there for you to get started on it.

I think… its been a while.

I have low level quests turned on. No luck.

Click on your tracking button on your mini-map and select Trivial Quests.
Go to Dalaran and the Violet Citadel.
Click on Khadgar and this quest should show up in the list that pops up even tho if you mouse over him on your map it doesn’t.
Voila!

Just boosted a toon to 60 and this was what I had to do open the beacon from Dalaran to Argus. This was for a toon that:

  • Is Horde
  • Had an artifact from early legion quest line, but no raid / Legionfall progression

Steps

  1. Turn on track trivial quests on map.
  2. Have at least 1 artifact weapon in your inventory from Legion.
  3. In Legion Dalaran, go to Violet Citadel and pickup “Uniting the Isles” quest.
  4. Complete it and then go back to flight path area and pickup “Armies of Legionfall”
    (if Khadgar keeps teleporting back and forth, drop the other quest(s) that have to do with Khadgar)
  5. Turn in and skip scenario. Teleports you to Broken Isles.
  6. Turn in quest and pick up The Broken Shore: Invesigating the Legion. (orange !)
  7. Kill some named elite (any should do) and loot a scroll
  8. Turn in and go to Dalaran. Follow quest line
  9. Pick up one of the spec campaign quests (for an artifact weapon you have)
  10. Complete this quest line to “A Gift from the Six”
    (to complete quest, equip artifact weapon and be in proper spec for it) )
  11. Pick up “The Hand of Fate” go to Orgrimmar and get on the boat.
  12. Continue quest line through “Into the Night”. You can now use the vindicaar to get around in Argus or go below and teleport back to Dalaran.

And now you have access to Argus from Dalaran.
