So I am going into week 4 of the pvp grind I will be rank 9 today. in order to hit R11 I basically need max honour.
How do people do this? I did AVs every night and spent a lot of my weekend in AV and just got to 257k. You get like 12k per hour roughly which is like 41 hours?

Unfortunately the grind is rough. Your math isn’t wrong. Rank 14 is meant to be hard to achieve.
AV is the current “meta”, in the sense that everyone appears to be doing it and it’s the easiest way to gain honor and requires minimal effort. However, you can get better honor in WSG or AB, if you have a solid premade and are able to win games consistently. It’s just not as easy as solo queuing AVs.

it is thank you. R14 was never on the table for me (so all the elitest purists can breathe a sigh of relief) I was thinking of trying to push to rank 12 which looks like it would be 2 weeks at 256k honour. but rank 13 would be 3 weeks at 337.5k not sure I can pull that off.
anyone who says this is too easy or its free epic gear is delusional. anyone who gets rank 14 should probably be investigated for account sharing
I would imagine with the rank cap being lifted this week more players will be back in AV. Probably some faster ques and hopefully better quality/quicker pace games.
If you’re in a 15-20 min game and you don’t see it ending within another 15 min just take the deserter L and que up a new one when you can.
Yeah. 12k an hour is about right. How do people do it? Well they play a lot. That’s the only way you can legitimately do it.
Just be glad you don’t have to farm sand. This is a 500k week for me on my hunter to get r12. So much sand…
If you grinded to rank 11 before they released all the ranks you end up grinding at least one extra week and you have an extra 500k week.
That is unless they allowed you to hit rank 11 and 40%. But I assume it only let you hit rank 11 and 0%.
on the plus side, everyone will be ranking in AV/AB so the open world will be farmable again.
WIll AB weekend be worth it or is that dependant on winning quick games? in which case AV would remain the better option.
I imagine there will be a ton of AB premades this weekend too
Thats so non PVP. Fight til the death, fight until every kill is 0 honour, don’t be a debby downer. So many people with so much gear from pvp yet, they don’t actually want to fight people. Should just turn it to a min. kill requirement instead of mindless hold W til you are at the end.
Download ranker addon. Then spam BGs until you u hate BGs
personally I believe that the PVP gear should be basically handed out for gold or not given out at all and everyone who zones into a BG has their gear changed to a pvp set.
basically in version 1 where you give out the gear for gold its a gold sink and it prevents people who don’t want to pvp from being useless dead weight in a BG.
in version 2 BGs offer no rewards and when you zone in you get equal gear to everyone else so it is now all about skill and the people who are there are there because they want to pvp. this also means you dont spend a month getting stomped in bad gear before you can contribute equally
in all honesty I think the amount of people who pvp because they like pvp would not be enough to fill 1 AV if there were no rewards though. most people are just kidding themselves.

av is going to be more efficient.
but if you can win ab youll still get VERY good honor per hour, but if you lose you will get less honor than if you lost in av.
personally i would rank in ab becuase i like to pvp. id rather pvp and have fun than just rush to bal, rush to spgy, and down vann as fast a possible.
but the real answer is that you should probably be queuing for both just to break monotony. rank 11 grind was tough just having av to work with
in both scenarios i laid out you do Play the game just more how you want to play than how you dont.
if people can buy the PVP gear but dont want to pvp they still play the game they just dont spend it AFK in AV to get it
if there are no rewards then those people are playing the game because they like PVP.
basically you should be able to PLAY the game the way you want. our current system is what drives people to automate play
I think we just need a straight up war mode, 100 vs 100, open field, first team to 2000 kills wins xD
i would actually hate this. pvp gear is a badge of honor that signifies and stands you out against other players who cant pvp well enough to rank, or at least cant be bothered to afk in av for a few weeks.
