How to Mute the Grand Expedition Yak

  1. Create this Macro and place anywhere in your action bars.

     /run if GetCVar("Sound_DialogVolume") > "0" then SetCVar("Sound_DialogVolume", 0) print("Dialogue OFF") else SetCVar("Sound_DialogVolume", .5) print("Dialog ON") end

  2. Summon the Yak

  3. Press the Macro. This way you can enjoy the xmog services without having to turn the whole Sound On/Off - only mute the annoying voice. And you’ll never again be a friend of the grammos or whatever that cursed creature is…

So you created a macro to use the mog just so you dont have to hear the npc ?

No wonder we have so many anti tank threads. What do they feed you at home sir that you are this angry and grummels ?

Or just uncheck dialog in options or cntrl s.

I’ve never played with the sound on.

I always play with sound and music on in any game I play. It’s half the point of games for me, and helps immerse me in the world better. It’s always very strange to me that some people just… don’t, lmao!

For its part, WoW has some really good sound design more often than not, and while its music isn’t always anything stand-out, it gives me those comfy D&D BGM vibes (which, in all honesty, was probably the point).

Also, who could ever hate the Grummles? :dracthyr_nervous_animated:

I’d rather hear grummles than the new crusty mammoth sounds.

They’re less irritating than all the dragon roaring in Valdrakken, that’s for sure - mostly because they stop talking after you summon them!

On and off, mostly off.

I didn’t know the sound effects were this demanding on any ones sanity lol

There is a “Mute Sound Files” addon, you know.
You can mute anything with it, provided you know the sound ID.

I muted Mathias Shaw dialog on Seething Shore, and horde victory fanfare on BGs.
Game became a whole lot better after it.

I feel like I see a lot of red flags on these forums, and hating on our Grummle friends is the biggest of them all
