Hello all, so i have a troll shaman, and i will use it to heal in raid and dps in bg and wpvp. I realise that trolls do worse in pvp than tauren and orc becasue of the racial. i found out it is very hard to deal with rogue and warrior, since they both have a 10 second intterupte, and rogue have a stupid high attack speed so it will be almost impossible to cast. i know how orc have 25% stun resist rng rely on, and tauren stomp with CL and shock combo instant damage. I am regret that i choose troll as shaman, but i want to know if there is any possible way i can mix up the thing that the other two race have.
Drink a LIP or throw a grenade if you can’t get a cast off. If CC is an issue use FAPS/LAPS
Not sure of your spec but if you are full raid resto spec, you’ll need to properly time your NS+HW. Keep lightning shield up, throw down a searing or magma, earthbind, poison.
Whenever I fight a rogue 1v1, my goal is to just outlast him, my lightning shield and fire totems will be doing most of the work. I will keep casting LHW on myself, if he interrupts ill throw up a max rank HW. I do the same with warriors. Since you’re troll, pop berserkering after he gets the jump on you once you get a chance, every heal counts otherwise hell just stab you to death. If its looking really bad, pop NS and insta-ghost wolf and get the frk outta there.

ahh, I found rogues tougher to fight in that spec. I would still suggest the same things, keep yourself healed!. You might have reduced CDs on shocks so always try to keep flame on them. If you are pretty decked out, a NS+CL will be enough to scare them into running away since itll probably shave off half their health.
If you have imp totems, that’s super good against rogue but ive never actually tried that.
so if i want to smash rogue, what talent should i use if i want to insist with elemental shaman?
Lightning Shield + Flameshock + fire totems + NS/CL = dead rogue
You should have LS up already. Rogue gets the jump on you, once out, FS him and throw a fire totem if possible, youll most likely get stunned again but the LS would have hit him 3 times, flameshock would have ticked a few times, fire totem is still attacking him, once you are out, NS/CL him and he should be dead or very close to it. If he is low on health and starts to run away, LB or quick flame shock if you don’t have grenades.
Not sure if you are dueling or just BGs but I would always suggest wearing a shield and full mail gear. Keep that cloth/leather crap out of pvp since your survivability relies on your ability to wear mail and wear a shield not much on your abilities. Also you don’t have much mobility to get away.
