I will gently, gently wish an honest to goodness stalker upon you. Because I’ve been there and done it 4 times in my profession. And I hope you get to know how you think what every clever trick you have in your book just explodes and makes it worse. Because I was as confident as you once. And then I was not - and not only was I self arming, I was asking my friends and my family to self arm. I was terrified my pets were going to get poisoned treats, or meatballs with glass shards tossed to them over my fence.

I’m assuming it’s extra, because I wasn’t able to use the feature from WI. Data is big money, and if I’m running a VPN set elsewhere I don’t see nearly as many alerts or consent forms. Most of which are made intentionally annoying to just make you click, “Fine, load me up with trackers.”
Let me put it this way for you. This is a game. Unless you’re dumb enough to tell people your irl name then there is no chance for them to find you. And if they do let’s just say that “self-arming” isn’t a thing in australia. It’s probably only a US thing which I’m glad we’re not that crazy here.

Oh, I mean the game now has a lot of avenues to prevent most abuse. It’s still not great but it’s better than it was when I had my stalker Wrath-Cata.
At the meat of it all, in our discussions I just don’t want to dismiss that abnormal people will do abnormal things. And every time you think you will threaten, own, decimate or outsmart them, they’ll have abnormal responses. And eat it up. That’s my overall point.
Unless you get it to you people can’t really abuse you. What they going to do? Call you bad? I’ll even help them call me bad.
Again if you dont let people get to you they have no leg to stand on. And if your friends believe what other people say about you then they’re not your friends and they’re better off disappearing from your life.
I think we’ve had a misunderstanding. I was saying the standard privacy feature blocks services like raider.io and check-pvp from accessing that data without user input.
The down side about putting your stuff on private is your preventing yourself from getting in any good groups for arenas, m+ and pugg raiding.
People who check for their own reasons, but mainly looking for people who don’t bail out so soon and have good performance history.
If you don’t do any of those activities it’s fine.
If ignore was account wide we wouldn’t have to take these extra steps and complain/report in a ticket. We only have 100 character limit for ignore, I rather not waste my space ignoring one person 100 times, because of alt hop ignore bypass capability.
So report them. Pretty sure that’s against ToS. And if they continue then that’s pretty much the end of their account. Or if you want creative ways then I’ll keep egging them on to the point that it becomes boring for them. The thing about trolls is, it’s only effective if you keep responding.
clearly they got to you easily. And being annoying isn’t the same as wrecking people’s “lives”. Exaggerated much?

I purposefully let people know who I am and they can track as many alts as RIO and bnet allow. IDC if people know who I am.
I think what some of the frustration can be is them knowing who you are while they themselves are private. Feels like a one sided fight.
lol I did report them. Hundreds of times. Hundreds if not thousands - again this was in Cata-Wrath era. I actually changed servers entirely. They found me once more on one other server years later. I only had a few characters and switched again.
If you’re okay with anyone effin with people you care about calling it an easy road, I pity you and your loved ones. Because I’ll let people take out a hell of a beating on me, but if you touch my precious friends, you’re gonna see a whole new wrath.
my correct opinions often make me the target of harassment and stalking on these forums.

Keep in mind that all you’re denying them access to is the armory, which is something that people can freely look at without needing them (and can’t be disabled).
That’s why others in this forum have said to make a classic toon. Because armory doesn’t exist for classic yet.

My point is just that any of these suggestions you’ve made for settings changes do a lot less than people seem to think they do.

Others have pretty much pointed this out. And to be honest this forum has taught me a lot with certain comments. Someone talked about specific coding on each individual pet. I’m actually amazed lol.
