How to Lockboxes

I end up with a lot of lockboxes doing old content. Just wondering an easy way to open these, is there an item a priest can use?

Could I make a mechagnome and just park him near a mailbox at level 10?
or a Rogue?

Thanks for any help.

Rogue is generally the best way to do it.
However engineers can oft bust open the locks too.

Rogues open boxes, but i dont see too many people asking now adays maybe cuz its not worth the effort to open them… in classic yea theres always people looking to get them opened

Several professions have been able to open them. Blacksmith and engineering, i think some others. I have a rogue (boosted back in BFA for the purpose) that i can mail stuff to or put it in the guild bank to be opened by the rogue. I used to mail them all to my bro.

C̶a̶n̶ m̶a̶y̶b̶e̶ j̶u̶s̶t̶ m̶a̶k̶e̶ a̶ b̶o̶o̶s̶t̶e̶d̶ t̶r̶i̶a̶l̶ r̶o̶g̶u̶e̶ a̶n̶d̶ m̶a̶i̶l̶ t̶o̶ s̶a̶i̶d̶ r̶o̶g̶u̶e̶.

That dont work. Unless you unlock the trial with a boost. Mop remix is coming, could just wait to level a rogue there.

For some reason it is a part of the Rogue identity that they have been quietly trying to do away with. They are trying to sunset the feature, like First Aide and Archeology.

rogue.
I literally mained rogue partially because of this…then i realized there aint much in those boxes enough to base a class being played on. lol.
I just vendor or destroy them if I cant open them otherwise these day.s

Well no one really needs their boxes opened anyway, they dont drop in a new content anyway, all the old content boxes drop like 10g maybe and a vendor green

Now this, may be an issue, I don’t believe you can unlock ALL lockboxes, you still have to level the Rogue or Mechagnome. We used to level lockpicking but now it auto levels with you (Rogue) I’m not 100% certain on the Mechagnome as I have never played one, tempted to now though since I just learned today that they can pick locks!

Skeleton Pinkie: Allows opening of locked chests and doors on a level similar to yours.

This is the reason I have one rogue on each side levelled each expansion, then I don’t have to rely on professions - I may keep both come TWW, but I may only need one with the introduction of the Warband Storage.

Other way is to level a character and use the profession keys, iirc, those only require profession level 1 (current expansion) to use.

Exactly my point. If they weren’t trying to sunset the feature, modern content would drop them, and there would be useful things inside. If they felt like they could get away with taking the ability from Rogues altogether, they would.

Rogue, engineers, blacksmith, and I believe scribes, all have had a way to unlock them. Some of them have been tradable. Can always level a rogue.

That was such a cool mechanic. Summoning Griftah with the flute. I had my main stealth skills all macroed to attempt automatically.

Cant remember if bfa was included or not. Anyway. Such class identity just being ignored is a real big shame. We need those devs that brought in the class focus back in action. Rip Xelnath.

Last time I checked, trials could receive mail, but not send it. So it’s no longer a good solution.

Aside from leveling a rogue, most expansions have one profession that can make something to open stuff, but which one isn’t consistent. So check you engineers for seaforium recipes, blacksmiths and jewelcrafters for keys, and I think inscription might have a scrolls that can do it.

Snap, yous right. Just checked.

I have a level 50 rogue stations in Boralus for this purpose. Though, Blacksmiths can now make skeleton keys for them and I think engineers can blow them up.

They would have to be a higher level in order to unlock all the lock boxes.

If you have a high level vulpera character you can do the call to arms thing for pvp if it’s up, be turned into a mechagnome, unlock all your lock boxes then leave the BG.

I know that used to work idk if it does now.
