You’ve got to go see Jorvan Longmoor and tell him to upgrade the house. It’s not automatic.

Ah. In that case I recommend the Homebound addon. It can help you find decor.

It’s a slow process, have to buy ther decor that gives 10+xp per item, first time only. (the decor vendors in the neigborhood doon’t give the xp.)
It’s a lot of gold and or achievement grinding, very slow process, I spent 80k on around 20 decors only got like 200 xp. (Auction House & world vendors.)
Many decors are locked behind rep and or achievements, a hassle for new accounts.
They could introduce world quests in the housing areas to help level the house xp.
Mines stuck on 300/1200 level 2.

There is a daily in center of town now…do it…you’ll get a bunch of easy to get decor pieces…there is a addon that help you solve the puzzles too…called Decor Treasure hunt addon…

I don’t see the benefit of Homebound. It tells me nothing. At least the Decor Vendor addon shows me where all of the vendors are and brings up what decos they have.

That Decor Vendor addon keeps going stupid on my system and I have to disable it , if I load it up and like go to a NPC vendor and look at the stuff I get a error message and told to disable the addon.

That’s exactly what I use honebound for.
I assume it’s interfering with something else then. Because I haven’t had any errors using it or the vendors. Works great with TomTom and the new layout is much more streamlined for filtering.

How does Homebound show all of the vendors in a zone and all of the decos they sell with waypoints?
All I get is “here’s the questlines you didn’t do and the ones you did.”
Is there a filter or dropdown I’m missing?
Wondering if Home Bound might be causing it seeing they both do about same thing now sort of…I’ll have to try tomorrow when I log in and turn off home bound and turn on decor vendor and see what happens. I really hate when addon go silly like this.
I have Homebound as well. But I apparently fail at using it, since all I get is “here’s the questlines you did and didn’t do.”

The one I got from curseforge had +vendors. There’s a tab for it. It will tell you every vendor that has stuff you haven’t picked up yet for the EXP along with how many items it is and what that vendor carries. The one problem is it doesn’t tell you the requirements and whether you meet them or not,

Homebound helped me finish up a few quests I had missed or had started and not finished was good for that now.
That might be what I’m missing. Or I’m blind and didn’t see the tab. 
Level 4 almost 5. Most of my +10 xp for housing came from rep. dungeons and raids. most of the items to lvl 3 you can get from dungeons raids and rep alone. k’resh, founder point, tillers ect. level 3 easy if you have the rep. now added Undermine deco wth quests. so complete quest requirements get you deco also.

If you have Legion characters with fleshed out class order halls, you get quite a good number of decos out of each class. The only one that isn’t retroactive is the “Raise An Army for…” achievements. But even without that you’re probably looking at 5 deco items per class order hall if you have the campaign, research, and hidden appearance achievements done.
I think I’m at 4060/3700 house xp now. I started going thru crafted decos recently. SL has so many per profession.
The good news for people struggling to gain exp through collecting decor in all the nooks and crannies of the world is that it looks like the endeavour system will be turned on with the prepatch in another 3 weeks and it should provide a steady stream of exp just from playing normally.
