There is an issue in mythic raids if someone pulls early, everyone gets locked even if they aren’t there. Sure you can get loot, but anyone that hasn’t zoned in but then does gets locked as well.
I’ve reached the point where I’m just going to lead the raids, if you pull early you get booted and lose your lockout for the day (the instance will kick you out). Seriously, wait till everyone is summoned into the instance for at least the first boss. If you are in my raid you will regret not doing so. It isn’t too much to ask.
Honestly, if anyone looks for a raid, they should be doing it right outside the raid. It does not take long to get into a raid these days. Saves time for everyone.
People bounce from raid to raid to raid to get things done. It takes like a minute to get everyone there. The short attention span demon hunters can calm the heck down for that amount of time to ensure everyone is at least inside the raid making them eligible for loot.
I had one the other day do that to like 5 people because he couldn’t wait. Once they zoned it it locked them, even though they declined the lock.
This is how remix is. I was just giving a suggestion because no one is going to wait long. Specially as we get stronger and dont need full groups.
No we don’t, but that is up to the raid leader. But if you are in my timerunner’s raid and pull before people get there, you will be booted from the raid for screwing over others. I’ve seen other raids take a similar stance.
People should wait for everyone to get inside the instance before pulling. That’s the only rule I have now.
However, Mythic lockouts don’t work the way you’re describing. If a boss is pulled before you get there, you’ll get a pop-up asking if you’re okay with accepting an in-progress lockout when you finally get there. You aren’t missing out on that boss until you agree to it.

Would it surprise you to know it is a little buggy? A few days ago I was in a raid with my wife, she hadn’t gotten there yet, but I was in zone when someone pulled the first boss. I ran out before it was killed (and was never given the choice to accept the raid lock) and she stepped in, but declined the lock. We both left that raid and yet were immediately locked to that ID, and upon zoning in with another raid we were told it wasn’t our instance and not allowed in. Going in with just us put us in the raid we were locked to but booted us a minute later. Lost a day’s lockout thanks to some impatient player.
So, the answer is lead a raid so you can set the rules. As you said, it is just one rule. Fail it because you can’t pay attention, that lock issue will now become your problem.
I’ve experienced this too and best advice say something. I usually just say stop standing around and help. Summon. I’ll say wow that was fast. Thank you everyone. I think I’m going to just start copying paste something like so you come to a raid. Please help summon. But I feel you it takes longer to summon than it does the raid.
This happened in ReMoP once, Siege of Org. The raid leader was jumping ahead to the next boss while the rest of us were fighting the current boss, so if anyone died, we couldn’t release. Yay for trolls.
