How to know which piece to replace?

I had a question about the azerite pieces. I will be able to afford my first mythic-level random piece next week. How do I know which of the 3 pieces I have now offers the smallest return, and therefor should be replaced first?

I can’t get this thing to update to my DH, but I have:

Helm: Flashpowder Hood - 450
-Furious Gaze
-Thirsting Blades
-Heed My Call

Shoulders: Seafarer Shoulderpads - 450
-Furious Gaze
-Chaotic Transformation
-Gutripper

Chest: Chestguard of the Insatiable Maw - 450
-Eyes of Rage
-Furious Gaze
-Overwhelming Power

My gut tells me the helm, but want to make sure.

If I were you, I would go with the helm, thirsting blades is a lot weaker then eyes of rage or chaotic transformation to me. Though Heed My Call is pretty good, you could get lucky and get that again with revolving blades instead.

You may want to try out Raidbots and sim each piece with your setup to determine which is “statistically” better. There are a bunch of sites out there like Bloodmallet that will rate which are the better DPS traits.

In the end, I’d say go with your gut if the numbers are really close, unless you are in the top end of min/maxing.

Are you buying a pc. of Relinquished Gear?
There are lists on the Internet of possible items for each slot. Looking those over might help you with your decision.
I hope you get a good draw.

You can sim it on raidbots drop optimizer for each slot and see the slot you should roll on first

Thristing blades is great for pvp x2 only and rev blades x2. The meta ATM for pve would be x3 eyes, x1chaotic transfer

Gutripper
Overwhelming
being bis as well

You mean x3 Furious Gaze. For the top builds (Demonic Appetite) it’s x3 Furious Gaze, x1 Eyes of Rage, x1 Chaotic Transformation and x1 whatever is best with what you have, but the rest is pretty much obligatory.
