How to know the class you chose is right for you for PvP.
Rogue - if you play hide-and-go-seek and successfully sneak up behind a dog who is aware and looking for you and scare him/her then you should play a rogue.
Paladin - if you enjoy outsmarting your enemies in a 5min chess game then paladin will work for you.
Warrior - if you can play basketball and not want to shout or punch something because nobody passed the ball to you all game then warrior it is. Mastery over your anger/rage is important when playing a warrior or else u will have many broken pc parts.
Mage - if you like playing tag but do not like getting tagged and like to control/manipulate things to go your way then mage is for you.
Druid - if you wake up and wish your life was different and that everything just seems to be going downhill then druid was made for you.
Warlock - if you are super lazy and like getting away with doing the least amount possible then warlock is for you.
Help me out with the rest.

The thing with classic is they’re different enough that there really never is no choice.
If you try the class and like it.

Even though I won’t be playing warrior in classic, at least early. I like that Warriors can just strut around and lead groups I always loved doing that in classic. As a warrior? Long as you don’t mess up much you’ll have so many friends on the server and it’ll be fun when you’re tanking.
It wasn’t that I was the best warrior, it was that I wasn’t a bad warrior. So I knew EVERYONE. I would login and people would tell me stuff and ask me to do stuff. Great experience if you’re up for tanking. Nice thing is 5 man tanking is easy so who cares.
Anyone that is willing to get over a bit of nervous will at worst, realize people are realizing to be patient with you. I played through warrior and no one even knew I was female. I’d like to think if they did, they wouldn’t care. (It was late in 1.12 so…)

I know my class is right for me because I get to shoot guns and have a pet dinosaur.
If you’re good with keys and combinations you should be a lock.

If you read anarchists cookbook and completed over half the projects, then undead warlock is your best fit

If you like throwing snowballs at people then pick mage.
Priest - if you realize true selfishness is altruism, that you want to take on the responsibility to keep your group healed, so you can make it through the dungeon and get your gear, so you can shift your social trust in the light, to your secret trust in the shadow, in melting faces, then roll priest.
@OP: Don’t get the outsmarting chess thing, isn’t Pally the easiest class in Vanillar, or is that the joke? (note: 3m40s in jic &#t doesn’t work)
In PvP Pally ain’t soo easy… PvE sure… Every class is easy to play in pve.
Usually the class I enjoy most that also pisses everyone else off the most.
For me that is a Prot Warrior. The game is yours to do as you please. You are an Iconic God and your powers are needed. You can get any gear you need and use it to thoroughly piss off your opponents till the rage wispers come!
15 years of Prot PvP and going back to a time when it’s stuns don’t have DR, having a silence, interrupt, dispel, fear and many other great anger inducing abilities. It just is to much fun. The most ruthless stuns in the game locking people down until they are dead is amusing. Sometimes I almost feel bad when back to back 3 sec Revenge stuns land and my 5 sec Conc stun just came up off cooldown. Usually I just giggle like a maniac because you know the rage wisper is coming and it gives you a chance to Screen shot something and sip coffee latter while enjoying the tears.
Fun times…
So that is what I pick…Maximum Fun Uptime
Classic is about Gear, Gear that counters Classes, Class that can Counter and good mechanics. Play a Class that gets gear thrown at you and has CC… and wahlaa you are on your way.
Warrior - if you like to switch things up and do more than 1 role.
Druid, shaman, or Paladin - if you like being pigeonholed into only heal botting.
Updated… only a few more to go.
