All of horde need to combine into one big guild. All of Alliance need to combine into one big guild. If we don’t have Blizzard’s support, we can make up for it by maximizing efficiency to 2000%. Put everyone into two discords with REALLY well organized LFG channels to make sure no man (or orc) gets left behind. Good players can mentor newbies. Hardcore players can combine to form parsing raids. Geared players can throw AQ10-Naxx runs for new players joining the server. This has to happen or SOD has no chance. People aren’t leaving because they no longer like the game - they are leaving because “their GM has moved on to MOP and the guild fell apart”.

any all-encompassing entity becomes irrelevant.
your suggestion is the same as the deletion of the guild system on SOD.
The difference between everyone in a guild, and nobody in any guild, is the text would be green instead of gray.
Can still have individual raids within the guild. Just be easier for stragglers to get into groups by using discord LFG’s.
