How to join a Shadowlands Covenant post-Dragonflight?

I have a new alt that I levelled to max level in Pandaria Remix that I was wanting to give a particular back piece that is locked to members of the Bastion Covenant in Shadowlands. (I got the back piece on another of my alts that joined Bastion during Shadowlands).

However, there’s no way for my alt to join the Bastion Covenant as they cannot see any of the NPCs in Oribos nor are the portals to the various Shadowlands realms visible.

How can I get my alt into the Bastion Covenant now? Or is there some other way I can transmog their back piece to the Bastion style I’m wanting for them?

did you talk to the NPC that meets you and select to skip the campaign? You unlocked each covenant and the NPCs in Oribos via the campaign story, and subsequent toons could skip that and just do WQs/dungeons etc. to level and join a covenant right upon entering.

I’ve done the whole Shadowlands campaign on my main and I previously was able to skip the campaign on alts.

Now, when I go to the Shadowlands, there’s no NPCs to talk to.

I also can’t talk to Chromie and access it that way because my alt is already max level.

So I have no idea currently how I can get my alt into the Bastion Covenant.

i just took my Timerunning character to Oribos and similar to you, no NPCs were there. I went to Orgrimmar and accepted the SL start quest from Mograine right outside the center building in the first part of Orgrimmar, then spoke to Nazgrim behind him and had the option to skip the Maw and go to Oribos. When I selected Skip, it took me to Oribos and the NPC gave me the options to do Threads of Fate. I selected that and completed the follow up quest to speak to Tal-Inara in Oribos, and now I can see the NPCs including covenant emissaries in Oribos, I was able to select Kyrian

Just tried this on my 70 druid… took the “skip the maw intro” option… got teleported to oribos… no NPC to talk to, no option to pick threads of fate… not covenant NPC’s where they belong. The guards are being all guardy up by the portals but wont talk to me, and the fatescribe doesn’t talk to me either. I’m basically dead in the water. Can’t even access the second floor of oribos.

Try setting chromie time to shadowlands and then go back to the fatescribe. I’ve had that work on some characters but usually only at level 60 exactly. Worth a try though.

I just completed The Maw sequence on my 80 warlock today , took the tour of oribos , even got to bastion. But, there are no Venthyr ( or any other) Shadowlands Covenant NPCs visible to me in Oribos, and I even attempted to go to Sinfall and join the Venthyr Covenant there- and what i assume is the Covenant room there, is empty to me ( i assume because i am not Venthyr) .I just gave up , ill revisit this mess on another toon at a later date, i got enough grief without sorting through this mess Blizz made. Edit: 1/28/2025 is the the date .
