I’m trying to figure out how to make certain abilities sound louder because in raid I can’t hear them hitting the enemy (like ice lance) or finishing their duration (like blizzard pelts). I’d also like to decrease the sounds of certain abilities. I imagine if I figured out how to do one or the other, it’d be the same setting for the other.
Anyone have a recommendation for me? I have googled a bit and I see pretty complicated things like downloading other programs to access the sound files. Maybe there’s an easier way though? I don’t want to replace them with something else or anything, just want to adjust existing individual ability volumes.
Not an answer to your question but the difference in volume is likely due, in part, to your distance from the event.
Honestly, the best overall solution IMO is to hit CTRL-S, turn off all the sounds, find yourself some good music and never look back.
I can hear them fine on my own. When I’m in raid, everyone else’s abilities are going off right next to me too which is mainly what causes it to get drowned out. It significantly affects my gameplay because I find myself relying on the audio cues. Going no audio is not an option unfortunately, as much as that would simplify things for me.
I’m not aware of any way to do what you want, but I can say that it would be a very nice option. (They already do something similar with the graphic’s effects of other plaeyrs spells.) It’s probably something worth suggesting using the in game suggestion tool.
