Just thought I’d ask. I know the reason for why the Blood Elves are members of the Horde, I played through the old storyline back in the BfA and Legion days, but out of curiosity, how do non-Blood Elf players feel about Blood Elves in general? Do you feel like we make a good addition to the Horde? Or do we feel too out of place?
We are the Horde.
I’ve played Blood Elves off and on for years.
I won’t lie, I still find it a little weird that right after Zul Aman they joined the Horde.
BE’s don’t feel anymore out of place to me than any others.
Belfs are alright.
But I tend to keep a little distance ever since that “… weʻll be having steak twice a week” comment.
It’s Kodo steak!
Don’t feel like hopping on a Horde character to say so, but they cool.
Wait, I thought it was “kodo” steak.
I believe that the blood elves have really forged themselves a proper place into the horde ever since the darkspear rebellion in MoP and most characters in-universe acknowledge them as full-fledged members (though there will always be your hot-headed youth that think the horde belongs to the orcs, ofc)
Adding them single-handedly killed the Alliance and ruined the Horde aesthetic. It was always a huge mistake.
blood elves shuld have been an alliance race in the first place, blizz just wanted to give an elf race to horde.
I hate elves
Simple as
I’ve always liked them, I started playing in TBC and liked the idea of “evil elves” and thought the guy on the box cover with the rune tattoos looked cool as hell. And the priestess in the TBC trailer is a babe.
I wish my warlock could have runic tats!
They are not the true horde. Merely allies of convinience.
Blood elves are fine but I can do without the rabid fans.
Too many and too tiny.
Wish they’d merge factions so I could play a human and work with my Horde pals. I mean yeah Cross Faction play is great but we’re still doing the faction divide BS. Tried out a Belf today and regret it already. Going back to Tauren ASAP.
Blood elves are a bit bland but I believe there is some fun stuff we can tap into.
Blood elves won’t be bland if they tap into the Dark Animus which lets us we can explore fleshshaping and blood magic.
They should have let them join the alliance in MoP like the no good turn coats they are.
They’re the reason I finally got into the game. I liked their aesthetic and lore. My first character was a Blood Elf, and I played one for the few months it took me to level and unlock the Nightborne.
In fact, having to leave the Blood Elves and Nightborne behind (also Vulpera I guess, because they’re cute), are the only things keeping me from 100 percent switching to Alliance. I like the Alliance cultural theme and aesthetic so much more than the Horde, well, nearly everything. Problem is that I absolutely love the Nightborne and their city, and the Blood Elves will always have a soft spot in my heart.
I want to main a Dracthyr Evoker next expac, and I am seriously struggling between Alliance because it’s the faction I like more, and Horde because I love Belfs/Nightborne enough to put up with having to live in the land of dust and spiky mud huts.
Elves are boring, Belfs have pretty much lost their identify with the addition of Void Elves.
