A While back , I poured my feeling into a topic on giving players a feel of adventure by giving us multiple roads to take instead of the typical bottled neck Main storyline = End game boss…and some responded with the option of side quest that we do have in game…
When there’s a focus point to a story that draws us in … is the Animation and Character introduction … Along the way we see character development within the storyline, thats shown through the animation as a player progress through a questline…So through all our efforts of continuous play as well as a defeated Antagonist we are immersed within the story and adventure…
I noticed this in a game that i was playing( i will not say its title but the only thing i disliked about the game was all the loading screen through space …even leaving or entering a planet) Each Quest had its character introduction and development through an animation story and interaction… and each story had their main antagonist /or bosses to defeat .
Because of this formula players felt a sense of Adventure… At work guys were ecstatically telling their stories and encounters, while others were trading routes and secret findings through their adventure with the character they met along the way…
Imagine if Azeroth alone used this formula… So “IF” its possible to make side quest into animated encounters and Introduction to character from main characters to small ones on the road… This will make players feel that Optional road to Adventure…
Hell… maybe a character could develop friendships …to Enemies to even a Pandarian Girl …friend …i mean if thats how you swing lol
Please understand i Throw these ideas out there for the progress of Azeroth to Grow and not Diminish … You Never Know…Maybe one day A.I could be implemented and assist in the progress of an Adventure and possibly changing the outcome of the story within the animation !!
