How to get to Cataclysm?

I want to level up in zones such as Deepholm, but when I use Chromie time and select Cataclysm its sending me to zones such as Southern Barrens.

Am I on the right track, is this like a pre-requirement for those zones?

Cataclysm zones are mostly the old vanilla zones revamped. Deepholm and all that is slightly higher level, I think you can get there starting at level 30, I think.

Also remember that Cata gave you two zones to select from when you were ready. Vashj’ir and Hyjal. Deepholm came after those.
