Hi, I’m wondering what is the best way and maybe easiest way to get the Blazing Drake. I’ve done the dragon soul raid multiple times and it has not dropped. I need it to complete the Awake the Drakes achievement so I can get the Emerald Drake. I also want The Lifebinder’s Handmaiden. What is the best way to get these mounts?

It took me so long. So much farming. There isn’t a best way. It’s all RNG. I wish you luck!
How long did it take you to get the mount?
People farm for years for those, some get them first time, its all rng

I don’t even know how many kills but it was years of on and off farming. I’d farm it for months, take a break and then farm again.
The only best way is to run as many characters you can though and keep your fingers crossed…the damn Dragon spine fight I hate with a passion of which stops me most times now from doing if I am by myself…my limited use of my damaged hands I need help in that fight.

Not kidding.
Park your army of alts capable of clearing near the raid entrance.
Put your favorite playlist or video on Monitor 2.
Let it rip til your lockouts are done.
Repeat until RNGesus blesses you.

Does raid size matter for the mounts to drop? I’m doing it on heroic
Well, there’s a portal in Orgrimmar and Stormwind to the caverns of time then you just sort of fly down and clear the raid normally. I think Blazing took me the longest out of any of the raid mounts with several hundred clears.
Granted I was doing the lockout cheese to skip spine but still.
Negative. You can do it on Normal or Heroic. But with Heroic you might see the Heroic-only mount.
What is the lockout cheese, I’m assuming it’s a trick to get skip the spine

Good luck, as mentioned by other, you need as many alts as possible and run it X times per week and just luck.

I got mine from a BMAH container, probably not the best way to go about it, but if you need a lot of the other mounts that can drop in them, maybe start buying them if they go for a reasonable amount on your server?
Otherwise, you need Lifebinders so you need to keep doing it until that drops anyway.
Not sure if it still works but it used to be doable in any non-unique lockouts, so stuff like normal, and you’d just… clear to the boss you want, hearth, then use LFG to list a group and apply to it on alts.
You’d apply, swap back to main, accept, swap back to alt, accept invite, zone in while main has lead and you’d be at the boss you need to kill.
Had to be done somewhat quickly, though, so an SSD helps.
Blazing Drake is the only one left on the list

If it’s challenging for you to solo, find a mount collecting buddy that needs the Lifebinder but has the Blazing, that way you can help each other and not be competing for the drops.
Unfortunately it’s to keep doing dragon soul.
Lockout sharing doesn’t work for Dragon Soul. You’ll have to full clear it on every character.

That only works for 1 single mount and its super easy to get, so nope.
The best way is to keep running it? You can’t control what drops.
