How to get Raider IO score up?

Everytime i’m trying to get into a m+ they always talk about io scores and i have no idea how to get mine up. I have done 1 +10 but i don’t think that’s did anything. I don’t even think i have a score because when i hover over my portrait i cant see my score.

It’s a catch 22, to get higher score you gotta do higher keys within the time limit, faster the time the better. The best option is to do lower keys that don’t give you upgrades and slowly do little higher keys each time. Or join a guild. I do +10’s all the time, but we ignore the timer and just do it for the weekly chest loot. Letting the timer expire doesn’t count for it, or for Blizzard’s own record lol.

Play the game.

Do some 7’s and 8’s.

Do some 9’s and 10’s.

Join a Discord/community for Mythic+ for an easier time. But ultimately, focus on breaking 1000 IO and you’ll be fine. After that, that’s when the progression starts.

You can find your score on the website raider .io

Basicly the way to build your score up is keep doing higher and higher key. I’ve just check on your prog. you’re 318 io score

Another way to increase your score is to be sure to run mythics for every dungeon. Check the raiderio site to see which keys you’ve completed, and then do your best to complete a key higher on the next run. But as mentioned above, it’s a catch 22 because you need higher keys, but you may not get invited because you don’t have a higher score. My best suggestion is to find people you enjoy running with and try to keep running with them, that’s how I get my mythics done.

Basically, having done only one M+ run is not enough.

You need to do a few in order to get the score to show up (needs to be 200 points worth or more).

The first step is to do a +10 or higher for each dungeon which will give you around 1050 -1100 in most cases depending on speed of completion (i.e. 1/2/3 chest etc).

Once you have a 1K + score getting groups is easier and you have an idea of the pulls etc you face for each key.

The next step is to put together a team you can play with consistently and start hitting higher and higher level keys.

Side Note: If you are not getting invites you can set up your own groups or get people you know to help you out in the establishment stage of your .io score. This is helped a lot if you have “good” keys for the given week. For example, I was pushing my own key which started as a +11 Freehold into a +14 Freehold which is a pretty straightforward dungeon to do.

Zaraxo, if you haven’t already you may wanna go to the Raider io website, and sign up. Once you’ve done that, sync your Bnet account with Raider io so you can claim your characters. You’ll then need the Raider io addon so you can see your score in-game and see others’ scores.

Here’s the base score value for each keystone level:

You have a 318 io, which is fine and better than most. Every dungeon has a unique score, 10 pts per difficulty, 1-9 extra pts based on how quickly you completed it. So for every 10+ you buy you will get 100 pts.

I’d start off doing 4-5+ in each dungeon to boost that score up.

This is why I don’t play with these folks. My wow experience got infinitely better when I stopped doing “endgame content”.

Were you also unable to create your own groups? Or is that everyone else’s fault too?

OP, just start with low keys and work your way up. It’s literally how everyone else does it, nothing fancy.

Join a guild that does them, then you never have to worry about raider.io

It’s a toxic system that is super unbalanced due to easy affix weeks and mongo melee cleaves.

Also creating your own group doesn’t do anything for you, invite someone too low and you wipe, invite someone too high and they leave after 1 minute of the key being started or even better on the last boss.

The problem with mythic+ in general is it’s just terribly unbalanced, some affix+boss combos are near impossible to beat while others are a joke. Bad system that rewards exploitation to high IO scores. Pass.

I have noticed that people become obsessed with raider.io. I run with the same group every week on my main and one of the people noticed that my score was in the 700’s while the rest of the group was a lot higher. So they said we should do a dungeon everyone in the group hates so I could get my score up.

Everyone was willing to suffer through a dungeon for a stupid score that doesn’t matter since we all run the dungeons together. :woman_shrugging: This is what happens when there is lack of content.

Blizzard needs tone down this raider io mess… because I do feel that the people in this game pay a bit too much attention to it. That or they have fostered a community of elitists and all the others have said sayonara… its ridiculous… everyday I scroll through the premade dungeon section and see mostly people are wanting your io to be high. OH and then if you want to join a raid group they also sometimes look at your score -.-… Lets be real if i was new or even returning player would I want to go through this bologna … hmm? Probably not. Again where is the enjoyment?? its gone…

Telling someone all you have to do is grind this many dungeons per week to bump it up or saying you will need XXX amount score to get into most groups is crazy… It sounds easy but its not… most of my run have negative… yeah here and there you may get someone chill but um too say its been mostly positive is a dead lie. I’m getting exhausted just talking about this… Bravo Blizz again bravo…

Do +7 or more across all the dungeons. You can’t just focus one or two

Use your own key and play the game. That’s really it. The more M+ you do, the better you get at it. Will you see douchebags? Yup. They exist in every content of the game. You’ll also meet great players. Feel free to exchange btags so you can play again together.

Ideally, get a steady group of players together so you can have a consistent group. Group comp really only matters when you’re past +20’s. But at that point… you aren’t having issues with IO. Having said that, don’t make a completely inappropriate comp like 3 feral druids. Try to get a brez in your group, and if you don’t get a lust then carry some drums as a back up.

Long story short, play the game, IO will come naturally, don’t give up, and play with friends.

When is the last time you updated the add on? Because the score only changes when you update.

As far as gaining more points though, for each dungeon Raider IO takes the best run and give you roughly 10 points per key level in IO score (although it’s less if you fail to time). If your best run for Tol Dagor is a +10, it’ll give you roughly 100 points.

The way you get more points is by doing higher keys on each dungeon. For example, right now on Atal’Dazar is a timed+4 worth 40.5 points. If you brought that up to a timed +8, that would be roughly an extra 40 points.

Just don’t forget to update the addon each day if you want to see your improved scores:)

There no wrong way to raise your score it just depends on how fast you want it to raise. The fastest is doing 10 keys or higher on time. You can do 10 or higher and not make time and still raise your score just not as fast. You can go the slow and steady pace as well do tons of low keys to slowly raise it.

The reason you can’t see your score is because it is too low at the moment. The website/addon hides the scores of people who have not run enough dungeons (unless you are a donor).

Slight side-note, I find it funny that it took 7 posts for someone to be nice enough to look the OP’s score up for him.

If you are starting from 0

Push your own key as far as you can. If you are starting with a +2 key this will give you around 4 or more dungeons to work with before you get too high.

Then work on filling in the blanks by doing 1 of each dungeon. Aim for around +6’s

Having completed every dungeon will give you a decent base score.

Then take a look at whatever your lowest dungeons and try to do higher ones for those.

Ultimately when you get a 9-10 in each dungeon you will be good to go.
