How to get over using a MMO mouse?

My 4 key broke because that’s where templars verdict is, and well you know how that goes.

How do you retrain yourself to use purely a keyboard?

Id buy a new one. I know there are some non razer/corsair options in the 30 dollar range that work well. I simply could not play the game otherwise.

Exactly. If cost is an issue then just buy an offbrand one. Or see if your existing one is still under warranty.

I’d say it’s not hard at all, and that it just takes a bit of time to re-familiarize yourself, but then I’ve never known what it’s like to use an MMO mouse because the accessory companies are cowards and don’t make mice for lefties anymore.

How do you keybind so many abilities?

Or I guess how do you set yours up.

I have never used an ammo mouse, been playing since 2004. Use 1-5, then shift+1-5. A an D remapped to strafe. Use Q, E, R, F, G, V. F1-F4 for non important things.

Thanks for the suggestions. Seems a lot easier than binding things up to 12.

Having never used a mouse, I feel this way about trying to learn to use one now

Almost every button on my KB has something bound it seems like. (Though a few are still default Blizz windows for stuff)

I tried to use a mouse with 12 keybinds and gave up almost instantly. The keyboard is a lot easier and feels more fitting imo

You don’t really need to ditch your mouse just because ONE button doesn’t work…

That said, I like to keybind my rotation to my keyboard, and use my mouse buttons for cooldowns. I’ve already gone through 3 Razer Nagas over the years, and I can’t imagine it taking any more beating than it already does.

I need to get a bigger mouse, I literally can’t comfortably hit anything higher than 6 on my mouse so i see where he’s coming from lol.

I eventually moved away from the regular Naga into a Naga Hex, that has 6 buttons.

I like it better. The buttons are bigger and are arranged in a more comfortable position.

With modifiers you don’t really need more than 6 buttons IMHO.

You just have to keep doing it. But you could also buy a game keypad of some sort, and replace your MMO mouse.

i tried KB only. Feels like going from my small car that handles tight to a 18 wheeler that beeps when I backup.
Id buy another mouse lol

I’ve reached the point that I’ve learned how to use Blender, and I’m learning how to use Fusion 360, how to make keycaps, etc. I’m going to start with a small gaming keyboard, and then move on to a mouse for people with average sized hands so I can actually hit all the buttons.

i switch spacebar to alt so i have shift and alt as two easy modifers and i use z to jump

The Razer Naga is available with a lefties edition. I know because I have it (and literally two new in-box ones in case they stop making it).

Remap Caps Lock to Ctrl, at least for me this opened up a bunch more easily accessed keybinds. Trying to use Ctrl in its default position is awkward.
