How to get more people to join the Alliance

Stop posting on the forums how awful it is to be Alliance. Whining that blizzard needs to do something about it just makes more people to now want to play Alliance.

Instead just talk about the cool things that Alliance has or does to encourage people to join your faction.

I left the Alliance because I hated how immature that community is. These types of posts only prove that point.

Edit because people think I’m calling them out or being super sensitive:
All I’m really saying here my alliance friends is that community perception is HUGE. Even though many classes are fine right now just because the community thinks they suck they can’t get in to any groups.

The same thing is happening to the Alliance. Posts like the ones I’m talking about are molding the community perception. Build up your facation in the eyes of others tell people how cool you are so they believe it and want to switch!

And… since that isn’t ever going to happen, let’s secondarily consider adding playable races which the Alliance-playerbase has been requesting for over a decade instead of imagining completely new stuff into existence (i.e. Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, Kul’tiran Humans – you know, 75% of the Alliance’s Allied Races).

From a horde I would like the alliance…
To not be human centered all the time. In the horde it seems all the races make for good variety and content and story. In the alliance it is mainly just humans and friends.

More skin tone variety. Yea many of the humanoid races do not have much skin tone variety that reflects our world which effectively allienates many people unlike the horde which doesn’t have much humans, besides maybe blood elves.

Interesting story… so much of the alliance is cliche it’s not very interesting.

Racials, some of the horde racials have good flavor. The void elf racials are cool for example.

Adding more interesting race/class comboes or races. I’m sorry high elves aren’t really interesting seeing as they are on horde already unless you want to siphon some blood elf fans to alliance. There are other cooler themes that they can add to the alliance such as ethereals, Jinyu, stormforged vrykul, mechagnomes (not the amputees but robots), irondwarves, centaur etc. Even dragonkin if they wanted. The horde has some good diversity and the alliance doesn’t seem to have that yet. The void elves and dark iron are a step in the right direction. Those new jinyu looking humanoids would make the alliance more appealing for example.

Give the other races more love. Yes show the gnomes running things, show the dwarves being badasses. Notice how in BFA we are getting lots of troll love!!! And in BFA it’s humans for the 5th time. So yes give other races the spotlight. Kultiran humans are still humans and it shows how boring the alliance is conceptually (coming from a horde) but there never is a shift in powerdynamic. Something like the night elves leading the alliance for once would be better. The monarchy system is not appealing.

horde has better allied races and racials so i dont know maybe alliance faction buffs for more exp higher gear rate drops something?

As an Alliance die hard who finally played a Horde character outside of PvP for BfA, I cannot recommend the Alliance. Horde gets better zones, better quests, more of Blizzard’s trademark Easter eggs everywhere you look, and extra Alliance-relevant cutscenes across multiple expansions.

Used to say “lol Horde favoritism!” as a big ol’ meme, but having played both sides in their entirety, it’s not even amusing as a joke anymore. The developers simply have a greater attention to detail when it comes to the Horde. It’s just disappointing.

For the Alliance, tho.

I’ve been playing Alliance for 8 years. I got nothing. Do you like being insulted by Devs at Blizzcon every year? Then join Alliance.

Make them have more than 1 good race and bring back Darnassus while burning Stormwind to the ground instead and I’ll play alliance more.

Forums represent a very small amount of the actual player base. If the forums were what you subjected yourself to and convinced you they were immature, it’s a very obvious an You issue.

In my experience, both sides have their maturity issues and those immature players do not really represent the player base as a whole. Period. :rainbow:

Kill all those that don’t defect from the Horde.

I feel your pain though. Nothing personal, there is not much we can do on our end. My guild is currently having issues recruiting dps to do mythic uldir. We have heroic on farm now and it sucks.

First i’ll chose what i want to post, like it or not, really don’t care and not really mature to ask such a thing.

Secondo there is no such thing like bad culture or bad people all in the same faction in this game. That simply don’t exist. Putting everyone you don’t like in the same basket is again really immature and doesn’t show that you really understand basic problems.

And finally not wanted to see problems where there is problems is also a lack of maturity and according to you, you should transfer back to the Alliance side immediately.

I’m leveling this character on Alliance now. I kind of find the Alliance boring though, and more people seem to actually chat on the Horde side.

But you see, my friends, Warcraft is the story of orcs trolls undead and humans. The Alliance can’t possibly be anything other than High King Anduin Wrynn’s friendship circle! It’d go against the very essence of what it means to be Warcraft.

I mean I play on Moodguard, tichondrius and Dragonblight on Alliance. Tichondrius and Moonguard I’ll give you. Dragonblight is pretty dead though. Mostly what I’m talking about though is people on the alliance side when I pug stuff. Trade chat is toxic no matter where I go. People rage quitting on Alliance sub 60 dungeons because one guy accidentally pulled an extra pack once has happened to many times. Stuff like that.
