How to get Druid swift flight form

hi there,

tried googling the question, but cant find a concrete answer for 2023.
playing on regular WOW (not classic)
lvl 55 druid
just got master riding for all my gold, excited to increase flight form
flight speed, only to find out it is still at 150%.
google talkes about “swift flight form”
how do i get that ?

EDIT
hmm , now im even more confused. bought a flying mount that says 310% flight speed. raced the mount vs my flight form, and the speed seems the exact same …
flight form says 150%, mount says 310%, both took the same amount of time to cover the same distance

Yeah I think its just automatic now when you buy the Training. Maybe log out and back in, check the Barbershop. Haven’t leveled a druid in a very long time, but I only recall doing the Ravenlord quest once and I have 3 max level druids. If you are looking for the quest, it should still be at druid trainer.

Hey there, yeah Flight Form is now basically a regular mount.
Frankly, back when it felt even slightly unique and took some effort to obtain,
I recall those childhood memories and they bring me great joy

All mount’s movement speed is now based on your riding level. So, you can take an old 60% movement speed ground mount and it will move at 100% now. The same holds true for flight mounts.

Both forms are now barber shop customization options. I would suggest checking out the barbershop after you hit 40. Then you can decide which one you want.

The big difference is that you cannot be dismounted up until about BFA content… and even then things like the net will miss you if you just drop form and then recast it a moment later.

You can also interact with objects without losing form, and there IS a sweet spot where you can fly just high enough to not aggro mobs and just low enough to click something… which completely trivializes many quests and dailies.

You will also automatically swap to aquatic form if you enter water. Which can be problematic because when you exit it if you encountered an enemy you’ll just go to your slow ground travel form.

But other than those things it’s just like a normal flying mount.

You also have a /mountspecial.

Now if you go to Legion and progress through the class hall campaign you’ll eventually unlock the Lunarwing form, which unfortunately looks like the lovechild of Mario and a Pidgeoto, but does allow you to take on a rider.

I never got the legion quest mount form for Druid. Does it take as long as the other mount quests?

yeah, its basically the druid equivalent to the other class hall mounts

And your passenger will be dismounted passing from zone to zone and over quest and story phasing. At least they will have a parachute, but sometimes it is beyond awkward rescuing a low level you can’t see because you’ve done a questline they haven’t.

Wait so what about my wotlk turtle? Still seems slow to me.

Honestly, I have not tried that mount in a while.

Well, curiosity is my worst bad habit. I did some testing and did some website research. The ground speed is unaffected by riding skill level. Really, nothing affects that speed. It will always be slow. However, its swim speed is affected by riding skill.

Oh cool so it should swim at 100% instead of the listed 60%? I actually use it all the time ln other characters.

Swim speeds may not be affected since it is a different category of movement.
