Why did this thread even get necroed… The dude should of made a step by step guide on how to find his marbles.
At least wow is still 2nd or ff lovers claim it. Be happy we could be any of the others out there basically dead.
I agree, that it probably will never happen again. But even though i believe it is possible to find some ways.
The fact is, since vanilla days WoW player base was in majority 20 something’s and older. People like us, care about content, plot, gearing up… to feel we have making progress.
I was talking with a friend that also played WoW, and he stopped because he was sad mainly about bots and how they screw up the server economy. And also about meta.
About meta i cannot talk, because i just went back to the game, so i’m learning again everything. But about bots and economy, i totally agree, it demotivates people a bit. I think we have some milestones that can be achieved in order to try recovering the old player base back, rather than just acquiring new players, this core base that makes WoW what it is and was.
-I think that any gathering profession, mining, erb, etc… should be as it was in vanilla, just the first player to open the resource should be eligible to collect it. Currently enyone who open it while is still “active” can collect. I believe it would help combating bots.
-prices in the auction house could have a limit, like 50% for more or less than a specific value, which could be settled by Blizz itself (maybe). So we would avoid harm to the economy.
-Gold could be bind to same user’s accounts. Thus, gold should not be able to be transferred between different user accounts. This would be a way to combat people who sell gold and also bots in my view.
-I miss some RPG old style, with enchants options, gems and sockets options, which were really important to pass through the raid content.
-We could have more mobile game just the companions. Maybe something like pokemon Go was… some royale mode… where people can also PvE or PvP, blow up things solo (or not) and still earn items (mounts or gear) which can be used in WoW if they also play WoW.
-I was wondering also about something like “WoW+60” for eldiers people. In the past i used to play video game with my father. He is almost 70, and he don’t play anymore because most games he feel to complex. It would be nice to see he playing something again.
I always find the “younger generations aren’t interested in MMOs” argument interesting because it’s objectively wrong. ESO, New World, and FFXIV are all populated by a younger audience. Young people seem to love these games. It’s even more interesting when you see that the older Elder Scrolls fans tend to dislike ESO because of all of the lore implications.
Young generations like MMOs. The problem isn’t with the genre, it’s with Blizzard’s refusal to innovate, compete, and try to appeal to new players. They took some steps in BFA but we’re still a long way off.
MMOs aren’t the problem, the problem is WoW.
What if I just don’t care and move on… and find a better game… OR move out of mom’s basement and get a job…
there was another Humanity that made a post about bringing back titanforging - titanforging was already gone when this thread was created
and guess what blizzard probably came close to 12 million at the start of this expansion given the server loads
I am that same humanity. Titanforging was not gone when I made this post.
Some of my views have changed cuz when I said remove titanforging, bonus rolls still existed and loot actually droped. M+ also gave loot above heroic level.
Also looking baack now random sockets were more of a problem than titanforging.
With that being said it is actually amazing how much of what I said in this post and what I had said in a simmilar post made by my warlock has come true.
But then they just HAD to f it up with covenant locking and conduit energy and target cap and trash dungeons…
brain dmg
they stopped titanforging in BFA already - oh nvm this is from 2018… I thought it was from last year. they really should lock these threads after a year.
Opposite Humanitydh?
Edit: saw the post 2 above mine, cool beans. I didn’t know you were a nelf!
Titanforging gone is probaly better for the game. My recent posts about titanforging have stem from my dislike about how they put my weapons on bosses most guilds only kill once before extending for ever.
Which how ever can be fixed by making raiding more accesible as I have made posts about it. ( cross realm from begining. remove raid ID lockout )
9 - Don’t make all items go to trash on new expansions.
10 - Make level 100 as max forever.
