How to Fury in BGs? Help!

I want to be better at PVP. I want to enjoy Fury in BGs and at some point arena. But, I fail at it. Always have. What tips do you have? Macros, addons, keybindings? I am all eyes. My Warrior is 110 at the moment, but willing to reroll and relearn if that is what it takes.

Thanks!

Your first issue is that you need to get to 120. 110 PvP is not remotely balanced, that isn’t to say that at 120 it is, but 110 is way worse for sure.

Thanks. What 120 tips do you have?

First, I would make sure that you’re selecting the correct Talents, PvP Talents, and Azerite Traits.

Talents

  1. Fresh Meat is the general go to talent for PvP. The extra healing and chance to proc Enrage is pretty important. However, you can take Endless Rage instead if you so desire.
  2. Storm Bolt is the default choice for PvP, having a ranged stun is just useful in so many ways. However, you can also take Double Time if you want to increase your overall mobility and find yourself playing with teammates who already have a heavy amount of stuns.
  3. Sudden Death is usually taken. It just provides a random chance for a bigger hit plus rage generation. Taking Inner Rage can also be pretty effective if you’re stacking the Pulverizing Blow Azerite Trait and want to obtain max stacks as quickly as possible.
  4. Furious Charge or War Paint are both good choices. Furious Charge is good against enemies where you find yourself constantly using Charge on cooldown. Furious Charge also benefits from Fresh Meat, Enraged Regeneration, Slaughterhouse PvP talent, and any health increasing spells/trinkets. War Paint tends to be the better option if you’re going to be sitting on targets for extended periods of time, while not using Charge frequently. It is also better when paired with the Enduring Rage PvP talent.
  5. Carnage is the only good talent in this tier.
  6. Dragon Roar or Bladestorm are both good choices. You can either have an ability that provides a good amount of instant burst damage, or you can select an ability that provides a good amount of damage over a period time whilst also acting as a CC avoidance/break.
  7. Siegebreaker is the only good talent on this tier.

PvP Talents
The only mandatory PvP talent is Thirst for Battle. It provides you with an overwhelming amount of mobility, allowing you to stick on targets for long periods of time.

All other talents are either situational or dependent upon your play style.

  1. Battle Trance provides additional healing and rage generation. However, if you don’t maintain it’s up-time properly, it loses it’s overall usefulness.
  2. Slaughterhouse gives you additional healing and damage with Bloodthirst, and also benefits from Fresh Meat, Furious Charge, Enraged Regeneration, and any increased health effects. Only downside is that you won’t get any benefit from this talent unless your constantly hitting targets below 50% health.
  3. Spell Reflect is good when facing casters.
  4. Disarm and the Master and Commander talent both provide you and your team with more utility. Furthermore, both are receiving substantial buffs in 8.1 making them even more useful.
  5. Enduring Rage simply allows you to increase the duration of Enrage, which is very good to have when running with the War Paint talent.

All other PvP talents are generally not taken because they happen to be very underwhelming.

Azerite Traits
Currently, the best Azerite Traits to obtain are Simmering Rage, Pulverizing Blows, Reckless Fury, and Battlefield Focus. Stacking either of these traits or having a mixture of them will be fine.

  1. Simmering Rage provides increased Rampage damage and a little bit of rage generation when using Rampage. Rampage is your main source of burst damage.
  2. Pulverizing Blows gives you a stacking damage increase for your next Rampage, which in turn provides bigger burst moments, which is good since Rampage is your main source of burst damage.
  3. Reckless Fury is good in a sense if you’re able to sit on a target for extended periods of time. It won’t increase your burst damage or even kill potential, but it does allow you to deal higher consistent damage.
  4. Battlefield Focus is good to have as it provides a pretty good damage boost that benefits you and your teammates when it is applied to your target. However, one thing to note is that since it is a random-proc based ability, you can sometimes get very unlucky with its sporadic up-time. Also, it is important to take into consideration that using AoE skills can result in applying Battlefield Focus on a nearby target who isn’t your kill target.

Note: Certain Azerite Traits overall usefulness might change in patch 8.1.

Thank you much. I have searched the internets for this answer, but a lot of the information seems to be out of date. Any macro suggestions or addon suggestions? I find my targeting to be sluggish with tab.

the fury warrior pvp guide on wowhead is up to date

I haven’t really found their guides to be good, but thanks!

Fury is a blast at 39 lol just get the right trinkets and weaps and you will start destroying people!!
