How To Fix The Pre-Patch Event In Two Simple Steps

  1. Reduce the timer between events from 1hr 30 minutes to 30 minutes.
  2. Remove exactly one (1) zero from the cost of items from the item vendor for the events. E.G. something that costs 2000 Memories now costs 200.

EZ.

They’ll do this… in two weeks once we’re all exhausted from the event.

I’m afraid I hit that achievement last night.

Thank you for the example. I was sooooo lost.

I’m still lost. Which zero are they removing? There are 3 of them in the example.

Math is so hard.

if i can’t get all 4 legion recolor sets im going to die

Oh yeah. No. No you can’t. Not unless you call off work and no life the event. Sleep for an hour, wake up, kill the boss, sleep for an hour, wake up, kill the boss, etc.

It’s like in Lost where you have to push that button before the counter stops or . . .

I get the time gating on the bosses, but there really should have been more to do overall. Hunt memories, witness past events, replay iconic quests…

Like really lean into those memberberries, but in a good way.

Pretty much. The time gate and drop rate is definitely too long/low. I don’t really agree with the philosophy that time-gates are inherently bad, but they way they utilized them for this is really odd considering the lack of anything to do in-between boss spawns. I think the outage would be more warranted if the rewards were more significant, but that’s subjective.

You know what also might have been fun, along with the boss hunts? Replaying “memories” of past pre-launch events! Like you take portal to X zone and relive Y launch event for a limited time via Azeroth memories, collect loot and move on to another.
