There are warlock tanks, mage healers, melee hunters, tank rogues… the game is already blown up. What fantasy image of classic are you trying to protect that isnt already in pieces?

So why is that a good thing? We’ll stay level 25 for a while, why would it be so bad if it were enjoyable for all? Casters are nerfed enough already with no spellpower or hit on lowbie gear why not let them actually cast their stuff and contribute in group content?
Because to a huge portion of melee halfwits on these forums, their idea of fun is keeping others from having any.

So why is that a good thing?
Mechanics and safety. There is safety being at range from an enemy, and danger being in melee. For example (in classic) you have Baron Geddon. He pulses damage to everyone in 30 yards of him. Stand outside of that range, you are in zero danger. But melee who want to dps have to take constant damage and pray their healers will keep them alive.
Playing a caster is the hyper safe baby mode of WoW. Your punishment is bad class mechanics and poor damage.

Yeah, they should make ranged pay for it by having less hp or less armor, or something.
yeah I say we buff caster damage but make all their spells 5 yd range
have fun with that, guys.
And less damage. And not infinite sustained damage. And spell pushback. And potential to be interrupted. And worse gearing options.
Go to retail if those shouldn’t be true anymore to you.

if retail doesn’t have those options then it should tell you just how silly and ridiculous they are.
Yeah, they would never be added to Classic. The integrity of classic means too much to me. I would never be able to call it Classic anymore if such things were added to the game. I would lose all ability to shout down suggestions for changes if they ever existed in Classic. Good thing Classic has never changed in any way.

Melee being in danger is a myth, always has been. Standing behind a boss is no harder than not standing in fire. Get yourself a better myth.

alternatingly? of course. Have stuff drop from the ceiling, erupt from the floor, areas breaking down, areas covered in fire. I dont want encounters where half the raid is perfectly safe and half is doing all the mechanics, thats boring af

The whole entire reason I’m playing Classic instead of Retail is because I’m sick of every fight having a half dozen mechanics. Now do I think Kelris is too hard for me to do? No. It’s too hard for me to enjoy. It isn’t fun. If the fights are so complicated that I need addons and voice chat, then you’ve already lost me, I wanted to play SOD because I was nostalgic for Vanilla WoW, not raiding Nyalotha.
sure, and classic has those kinds of fights too. but at the end of the day, melee has to deal with more crap. because they are up close and personal with the mobs. this is natural and how it should be.
