How to fix feral

Change what mastery gives.

Or remove all new dev’s that came from activision. Theres a reason their games arent as successful as wow.

What would you change it to?

Mastery goes with their idea of what they want the class to be: a heavy bleed style

Okay that’s fine…but our bleeds need some number tuning then.

OR…lower the energy cost of a few of our abilities allowing us to get more filler attacks in between our bleeds, and allows us to DoT a few more mobs in an AoE situation.

Getting a 2 CP Rip on 2-3 targets by the time half of the trash pack is dead is kinda lame

ferals now do 35% more dmg. done.

With RIP being usable at 1cp I doubt they’d let it be as strong, since cp only affects duration now. Given the change I think a lower energy cost for Rip & Rake would serve us well.

Yeah I hadn’t taken into consideration the 8.1 changes. I was speaking for the “current” state.

But as you said, even with the change to Rip, I feel that an energy reduction to Rip/Rake would do well

Ferals biggest problem is boomkins. As long as they are good feral will always be 2nd.

Feral doesn’t need to be better than boomkin. It just needs to be better than it currently is

It does if you want to get into a good guild. Boomie is better for every fight in Uldir and still would be if they were equal.

Let’s say we have a class with 2 dps specs. One has a pretty bad reputation (some hyperbolic, some founded), and another which is largely up in the air. What’s going to happen when both specs are regarded as dumpster fire material?

Do you really think pugs will ask you “melee or ranged?”, or just see you’re a Druid looking for a dps spot before smashing decline…

They literally did change our mastery lol.

The fix for feral? Burn it all to the ground and restart as the ‘other’ rogue spec

The problem is ferals just don’t bring anything special to the group.

Our utility is hampered by a complex and difficult play style ( usually using 13+ abilities in fight ) that can force us to sacrifice damage to stay on the target that needs to be stunned and interrupted.

And our damage is just low.

And it looks like they might be making it worse with an increase on trash DPS by being able to get bleeds up quicker that still leaves us in bad situation for providing utility and even worse situation for single target DPS.

Mediocre st even with a complicated rotation, sad aoe (i doubt 8.1 would help) at most we will also be mediocre at aoe, no utility (savage roar lul), energy starvation, spends most of your time waiting for energy to go up to cast 1 skill then wait for energy again, berserks cooldown is too long (0.2 cd reduction from new trait is bad omega lul) , berserk dependent, mediocre off healing, squishy af, many more. Its a long list and its quite saddening that feral has so many problems.

increase their damage by a billion. Fixed.

bet most devs agree to bad they cant speak up without activation firing them.

Thats what i always hated. We are a melee dot kiting class. Ferals arent meant to stand toe to toe with melee, if we do we lose. Yet our main damaging bleed is so weak. Having to play feral and win takes a mistake on their part and incredible play on ours i feel like

buff energy regen first… possibly buff bleeds…
bring back Mark of the Wild/Leader of the Pack
Buff Heals, if we are going to be lower DPS we need to bring something to the raid besides mediocre DPS
