How to Fix Fear,Sheep, Cyclone SPAM

Its well known mostly at this situation where you are against mage or boomin or warlock, as soon as they feel they are in danger or their teammate. They will spam their cc (smashing the key)on u 3 times or ur mates. untill they feel they are safe.
I think an easy fix for it for pvp without making pve babies cry.

Fear, Sheep and Cyclone need to be on 10 second cd recharge with 3 charges.
very simple. instead of them spamming it without a brain, they have to think twice “do i want to waste all my charges just because i can or not”.

On the other side. Vendors or something close to it please.

In the 120 bracket most teams use their Kick, Grounding or some form of CC to counter said classes attempting to peel during a kill attempt.

Yes maybe vs lock or boomy, but gl with a mage running “SHimmer” aka every single mage. its not about just one class doing everything freely. specially see it with rogue mage. where their healer is low. rogue will vanish to get his 3 or 5 sec “use your stealth ability for free” aka spam Cheap shot on everyone. and mean while mage spam sheep on every single living thing in the arena. including hunter pet if available

That’s how pvp should be - The rogue is using vanish (a 2minute cooldown) to peel. The mage is putting everyone on Poly DR which limits the CC they can use to set up for their offensive go.

It’s not like those plays don’t have negative repercussions, albeit with the state of fire mage being on poly DR probably doesn’t matter.

What comp are you playing into Rogue/Mage/X where out of everything they have - the rogue using vanish to peel and mage spamming sheep to stop your presumed pressure is your #1 complaint.

I’d say fear and poly both have their downsides, with fear costing 1/10 our mana, and poly healing to full. Clone I think needs to have more of a drawback.

I like how you conveniently forgot to mention mind control spam… hmmm… must not be high enough rating to understand that, yet.

with ur logic, they should make Hex without cds just like mages, same thing goes for Paladin repentance and monk sleep. but not everyone single ability i mentioned has 10 ~30 sec cd

The same way you stop a bad guy with a gun. Give a good guy one too.

i.e. Give everyone more CC. The more CC we all have the more ways we have to stop other people from chaining CC. It should require teams working together to stop or continue CC chains.

Just by saying that. u showed me how dumb of a person u are. Mind Control has a 1.5 sec cast {thats ok} but then u keep channeling for up to 8 seconds to keep them in mind control so neither i or them can do anything meanwhile. its more like a cc for both of us.

The drawbacks are 20 yd range (25 if boomy) and completely invulnerable to dmg (and healing). Not to mention 6 sec duration max.

Or you could just Premonition the sheep on yourself and dispel the ones on your mates. You use the word brain dead but suggest changes that dumb the game down even more and leave less room for a skill ceiling.

Seeing how these spells have been in the game since the beginning it sounds like a L2P issue.

If poly had three/fear had 3 charges turbo wins everything and its not even close. The suggested change means that consistent damage of half the classes would have to be nerfed. Im tired of nerfs. This isnt it.

Ok so it’s a slightly lower range than fear… but I’d give anything to make feared targets invulnerable. You say that like it’s a drawback.

Honestly owlplay is insane right now. You have clone spam (offensively and defensively) root beam, silence from priest with fear bombs and a life swap, mass dispell, hex from shaman with a 12 second range kick because apparently shamans dont already have enough with their blanket grounding and divine shield totem, oh yeah and their spammable offensive dispell. Those things rotated makes it impossible for anything except a rot comp to score a kill. Tsg, jungle,rmp,turbo. Everything with a short burst kill window auto loses to that comp even if they arent as skilled and God forbid you have to try to live because your healer is gonna be silenced into beam then cloned while any defensives your dps uses will be dispelled or mass dispelled.

That comp is mega busted atm. DH boomie rsham is a little more kill able but even harder to live against and the mana burn puts your healer on a timer.

This isn’t a good suggestion nor will it happen.

Besides by the time you’re off DR they have all their charges back anyways. Try kicking CC or something and mongoing less.

With my logic? My logic is mmorpg pvp is diverse and classes are not linear 1:1 equal

hex has a cd because not every healer can dispel a curse while every healer can dispel magic

it’s balanced

and back in the day some dps specs could dispel their healers too

CD’s on casted CC would be bad for the game.

The problem here is the CD on dispel not letting healers differentiate themselves.

The People support this post make it so. Let’s make PvP great again and the first start is adding skill into the game where strategy of using your CC is required. Also people like playing their characters so this is a win/win. Just making PvP fun again.
