Velf and NB remain as actual races since they traded the belf and nelf rigs to the opposite faction.
All other ARs become customization options for core races.
Male human and trolls get posture toggles for KT and zanda.
Vulpera remain as a race. Alliance gets saberon as the worgen rig AR.
Forsaken eventually get redeemed customization options.
Yaungol become a neutral AR during the world soul saga to mirror the earthen
I don’t know what problem you’re trying to fix. The races being seperate despite being reskins is fine. Doesn’t make a difference.
I can’t speak for anyone else but I’d be furious if I lost my unique racials, heritage armor, dances, flirts/jokes, and unique content.
I do agree that all races need more customizations.
Adding DR skins, manari eredar, as customization makes it feel like ARs weren’t thought out that well.
They could have added a ton of customization options to their core races.
This is all we’d lose. But is it really that big a deal when you still keep all your customization options plus the core race’s.

But I don’t consider Dark iron dwarves a “new race” compared to something like Ogres.
Again, manari could have easily been an AR Same.with DRs. Yet they just a draenie and elf option.
But the new racials and new starting area for dark iron dwarfs is the interesting part to me. I could care less if my dwarf is black.

Is a silly little racial worth the customization options of DID and regular dwarves combined?

Im just saying given at how popular manari and DR skins are that it should have been that way.
Then maybe core races would have almost as many customization options as dracthyr.
And I hate the face that Man’ari was half baked into Draenei and they have stuff tied to certain skin colors, etc.

I disagree. I want actual real, new customizations added. Not “Hey we merged you so now you don’t need any more customization!!”

See, this is what I hope happens, of course without the need to merge races. I envision continued barbershop additions to create an even larger separation between the races. It will make choosing your racial preference an even more interesting decision.
Granted … I’m also a major fan of Allied Races and enjoyed unlocking all of them, before easy mode. It has been one of my favorite content additions to WoW. So I’m sure that’s a large reason I’m so passionate about this subject.
I think it is too late to make changes to Allied Races now. They should have been thought out better before Blizzard shoved 8 new races into a single expansion…
And I disagree. Especially since there’s still two races that would be kept separate and one entirely new rig added to another, while trying to merge Vulpera and Goblins???
It doesn’t make sense. Blizz didn’t think so either. Glad for that.

I didn’t say to merge Vulpera and goblins…
I specifically said that velf and NB should have been the actual.only ARs along with Vulpera and Saberon as the worgen rig one.
Those 4 are unique in that the elves swapped faction rigs and that Vulpera are an entire new race that uses the gib rig. So a worgen one would have balanced it out.
Sure, I’ll take me that ultra trim Lightforged beard.
And somehow KT aren’t. The ones with an actual unique rig. Mkay.
