Yea in years passed I’ve used the Firecat form to just “POWER UP”. Like ok this boss needs to go down. “little Dbz moment or raw in voice chat” and BOOM Firecat!

idk if you already added this but there are seeds by the bridge/portal entrance next to the bridge by the boss as well that can be picked up to be used for flame cat form if i am not mistaken although this just acts like a toy item kind of. gives you the appearance but only temporary. think there is 3 seeds per run maybe 5 and i think the cd is 1 hour?
also great for the mounts. think what raid drops 2-3 mounts?

Thanks for mentioning that and glad to hear from someone who has used the seeds (have not seen them myself). If I can find some, I want to macro with them (i.e. /use, since that would just be a cool option to have.
i think they are 100% drop they are tiny seeds right after the bridge to the cat boss next to the dead portal i think the portal comes active after you kill him though which just takes you back to the starting entrance of the raid. not sure if you have to kill him first for them to spawn or just unlock the bridge.
Actually any game feature that exists so players can sneer at other players who were playing the game as intended “Sucks to be you” is a failure, as you are as a human being.
The idea that every one of my druids that farmed that raid should have saved every piece of gear they ever got just in case there was a piece that was deliberately mislabeled and misrepresented in the description is a failure on blizzard’s part. The fact that you support such open manipulation and deception shows what kind of a person you are.
I’m guessing you actually haven’t saved every piece of gear you have ever gotten. Why not? Surely using up all your bag space and all your void storage would be worth it for a packrat like you.
And no. It made no sense whatever that I should have saved every piece of gear I ever got on the dozens of druids I farmed that toy on, just as it makes no sense that I should make hundreds more runs to re-farm that on every character because your lord and master figured druids should farm it all over again. I mean, since we don’t have anything of value to do in the game, why not force us to repeat what we obviously have done before, what their records show we have done before?

The ones that have cool effects and uses? Yes, I have. I also kept every teir set from AQ and up, and items that bring me a little bit of nostalgia.
Again… void storage is a thing.
What exactly are you upset about here ? Killing staghelm is not a difficult task. You’re acting like blizzard is sending you on some mountainous trek to obtain this form. It’s easy to get and you’re crying about nothing.
It’s a freaking staff that turns you into a fire cat! Such a thing was unprecedented.
It’s extremely unique and worth keeping.

Sorry, didn’t read all replies cos phone’s about to die. If I got it recently (like month ago) and vendored the staff would I need to get it again? I never paid attention to this and didn’t know the form was tied into the staff.

I just recently rolled a druid and the staff dropped today. I’m a little unclear as to how it works, are you able to get the fire cat appearance in SL just by having the staff in your possession, or do you have to actually do something? Thanks in advance!
Congrats! You should be able to use the appearance in any SL Barber Shop without any further action. However, just keep the staff to be safe.
Note: The unlock is per character (this may change, but unlikely), so if you roll another toon, that character would need to loot the staff as well.
PS - If you want to test the staff while still in BFA, equip it and then enter combat (i.e. against a dummy) and the fire form will appear. When you exit combat, the fire form will end. You can also activate the fire form (without combat) by clicking the staff while equipped.

Tip for those trying to be as quick as possible. Kill Alyzrazor last of the first 5 bosses. Do not kill her immediately. Let her drop her feathers. Pick up 3 so you fly, kill her immediately, loot her, then fly up high and towards Baleroc. If you get high enough you’ll get over the hidden wall separating her area from his, and can skip the trash/run time between the two areas.
Just something I learned back when I farmed FL more routinely.

Does the staff have to be the heroic version or will the normal version be just as good?

Just got it off a normal run after not getting it on the heroic run, so you have two chances per week to get it.

People on the PTR are saying you can use the appearance in the barbershop on a character that does not have the staff, as long as it is an appearance of yours.
