How To Find People to Play 3s With?

Wanting to get glad (even tho mount is mid at best) but every 3s que I see is all something along the lines of “multi glad looking for x must link xp or have previous cr at 2.2k rating”. I have sat in que for an hour or so refreshing looking for 3s but only 1 person has signed up and they just instantly get taken. How would I go about starting or getting into a 3s team?

There’s no simple answer. This season is very deflated because participation is at its lowest. But simply put, you have to be really good to get good teammates. If you can produce results people will want to play with you. Unfortunately, 3s is the most dead it’s ever been and it’s hanging on by a thread and it’s going to make things that much harder.

Poking through LFG while in queue for shuffle and potentially finding somebody in there. :dracthyr_a1: It’s kind of an awkward time for 3s because shuffle invalidates it for most people and higher rated people usually have btags.

Nah, it’s not deflated.

Spend time in lfg and make friends

Always be introspective and vocal about losses even if you have a bunch of criticisms about the people you’re playing with

People generally just wanna win 55% of the games they play and enjoy the company of the people they’re playing with

Some people don’t have the social skills (swole) so he can only hope that he’s good enough that people would play with him for points in spite of his personality but obviously that’s no where close to being the case so “dead game ect”

(Fwiw bfa s2/3 had significantly worse participation than now)

Not sure what spec you play but you can at least add me to get a list of btags goin, if you like. I’m on pmuch daily (usually doing 2s) so you can msg me whenever

HyperSonic#1145 on bnet

I came to NA with no glads, (decent shuff exp) from s1 df. Got contacts, got rating, etc etc. Just gotta network tbh.

Oh good grief what a pit of despair esp on alliance :dracthyr_crylaugh: I was actually wondering if it was truly over

Nah you can be the nicest person in the world and people won’t play with you if you aren’t good. Unless you’re friends with someone who’s willing to carry you.

Fact is, you have to be good and that is the single most important thing. Go watch MvQ or Metaphors, they get games and they’re insufferable. In fact, most glads are insufferable, but that’s okay because it doesn’t matter as long they’re good at the game they’ll play with people like themselves.

I offered a little 2k goblin enh in df to queue and he wasn’t good or nice.

Multiple people did, actually.

All the OGs know the forums are the best place to find teammates

Thinking back I met my healers in the weirdest places. 70 twinks, then challenge modes, then…the forums? Then random bgs, then shuffle, then the forums again.

Untrue! I have made several friends just by not being a terrible person, even when I had no idea what I was doing.

Hell. I couldn’t even reach duelist just like two months ago. But I have a handful of people I love playing the gane with anyway

What I do when I want to climb is I set up a LFG with whatever CR I’m at. You climb as high as you can with whoever joins. And you keep doing that, but it becomes increasingly harder the higher you go depending on your skill level. If you get to 2200 you just find someone who’s at that same CR and then work with that person to find a third. If you can win games you will find people.

The thing is, LFG and 3s are completely dead this season and I would imagine it would be hard to make a climb to 2400. I would have to try it to see, but from my observation by looking at people who are normally 2600+ and are stuck at 2200 it’s not looking so good.

I usually btag people if I think they’re funny and then we do pointless low MMR games as awful comps for eternity

Steps to find good teammates:

  1. play a comp that is easy to play without voice (easy for your class)
  2. win about 3 arenas in a row
  3. the mood will be sky high and asking for battletags will be welcome by everyone

Best tip I have is to actually just whisper people around you rating. You can look at people around your rating on check pvp or seramate or anything like that. Figure out a comp you wanna play, then just try and whisper as many people as possible and eventually you should get some responses along with some people to try and q with. This is usually my go to when I actually want to try and push in 3’s. But other than you could just afk sit in lfg all day with the purpose of adding btags. Eventually you’ll have a list of people to q with.
