How to find a good raiding guild?

anyone know how to find a good raiding guild? the forums are a joke and no one takes them seriously, where is another place?

Even the guild recruitment forums? threads made by guilds are usually pretty specific about what they’re looking for or what they do in-game outside of raiding.

Go to wowprogress dot com and start applying to guilds.

The recruitment specific forums are a good place to start, also your server forum section. Wow progress is also great, depending on what sort of guild you want.

i have been to all the forums on this website and can’t find a single guild responding to me

/who the raid you want on the days and times you want to raid. Switch search to see guild names.
That’ll tell you what’s actually going on at least on servers you connect.

look up wowprogress and see guilds in your server. Now whisper the gm/officers in the said guild and see if they’re looking for people

A lot of them are on hiatus right now, you’ll have better luck when we get close to SL launch.

How good of a guild?

Like others have mentioned wowprogress is a great site https://www.wowprogress.com/ I would suggest not joining any ‘we just started and are looking to fill our ranks for M prog in SL’ guilds and stick to guilds that have been raiding for a while. If they have videos watch them, read their description on wowprogress to see if they say anything weird ‘we are a christian guild’, ‘raiders must contribute to the guild mat pot’, ‘raiders must post pics of themselves on the guild discord’ or anything that you’d be against. See if their logs are private on WarcraftLogs if not then look at them and see if there is any potatoage going on.

This is a good place to look. It makes “applying” (usually just talking to someone in Discord) really easy.

Find a guild, contact an officer and quickly figure out if you like it in a matter of minutes, all on the same platform. Most people’s discord from these guilds are going to be running while they’re at their computer. They don’t need to go to other sites and see you were interested because of that.

That’s how I found mine quickly.

Using other alternatives, you’re going to be clicking through a bunch of stuff, adding a btag, having it approved by the person, setting up a time to contact you, finally talking to them, and so on. While they work, I would use it as a backup / additional and discord as a primary.

And you’ll be able to see guilds raid progression and some will have guild master and officer battle tags for contacting.

You check their progress and logs in warcraft logs, see at what level most raiders are

Then check their guild thread in the forums to see if they have signs of tryhards and ridiculous loot rules instead of just casual mythic raiding, the more “unnecessary” points like saying their guild isnt toxic, it is lgbt friendly etc is also a good sign that it wont be terrible since it shows they understand how guilds work and social behavior compared to the “No PoLiTiCs” or “just bander yo” types.

nope now is a best time to get into a guild. The good guild will have their roster solidified right before SL launch. If his aim is a good mythic raiding guild waiting for SL to drop is the biggest mistake he’ll do
