How to farm LFR appearances in DF Season 4?

Well I’m back asking the same question I asked back in Season 1 of Dragonflight… And it seems to be even worse now…

I would like to farm LFR set for rogue for current catalyst (season 2 sets) but now I’m back to brainstorming how I could even possibly do it.

In season 1 I ended up making 4 alt monks that I ran between 2-4 keys to catalyst gear and made sure to run lfr on all of them every week until I got the set.

Now the issue is with the crest system, in order to catalyst pieces to the lfr appearance they have to be veteran track; but heroic dungeons give adventurer track (which cannot be catalyst) and even m0s give champion track (making anything catalyst to normal appearance).

This is so amazing how this is even something I have to ask. Twice now. Someone suggested that if you catalyst a piece at a higher tier it should give all the appearances below that tier which would be awesome if they added. lfr appearances are hands down the hardest sets to achieve in the game this xpac.

Do the weeklies, and get about 4-6 veteran track items, then catalyze those.

Do the open world weeklies. They give both Veteran (or is it Champion?) gear and crests (both whelpling and drake)/flightstones.

These, plus the awakened world boss each week also gives a cache of storms with one guaranteed vet track item.

Thank you guys. I did not know about these things I could do that would get me a good amount of gear for time spent doing this stuff. Might even be easier than Season. I’ll have to start doing it. Probably will plan on running through that stuff on 3 rogues each week.

use LFR weekly on alts and make sure never upgrade armour sets so you can always roll need.

Update. I tried this stuff in the video and stuff people mentioned above and it DOESN’T WORK.
It doesn’t work because everything in these weeklys and stuff give adventurer and explorer gear since now all content in DF is relevant to gearing up in season 4 and NONE of it gives veteran track.

Might I suggest doing the Sparks of Life weekly warmode quest?

You can buy 4/8 Veteran gear from a vendor slowly over time. Save up the trophies and buy the slots you don’t get from caches and LFR at the end of the season. Catalyze the gear before upgrading, then upgrade once and you can unlock the full Normal raid appearance set as well.

You don’t even have to PvP. You can finish the quest by doing world quests, killing rares, or digging treasures. Be sure to bring a shovel so that you can also find the buried treasures!
