I’m currently working on a storyline involving my character currently researching the Sha and how to exorcise it the way monks and Shado-Pan have done for thousands of years. I’ve been trying to do some research but all I’ve really found is that Shado-Pan were created to mainly exorcise Sha (which Taran-Zhu does do when first entering Pandaria but it doesn’t really explain HOW he does)
So far the only forms of Sha exorcism I’ve learned in my research is
- Hozen masks (The Burdens of Shaohao)
- Talismans (Warlock Tier 14 Sha-Skin Regalia)
With how little lore there has been on monks, Chi, and Sha (about 30% of the lore I use with my monk, a Forsaken noless, comes from headcanons), I’m thinking of looking up Chinese spirit exorcisms for inspiration since a lot of Pandarian culture is inspired by China.
While I’m doing my research, I’d love for someone to point out anything I may have missed or to offer suggestions/headcanons
