How To Dragon Ride Indefinitely

Use Skyward Ascent to gain altitude. Tilt the dragon down until your vigor orb glows. Hit Skyward Ascent when the orb fills up again. Rinse repeat.

Gets easier with more glyphs. And once you get the handle of it, you can easily climb and gain altitude too, by using your momentum to go up without losing your vigor regeneration. But eventually it’ll peak and you’ll have to tilt back down to keep your vigor regen going. You’ll gain more altitude than you lose though.

There are some really nice weakauras that give more information about your speed as well. It makes it even easier.

I will say when you finally get that 5 second recharge when you’re going fast, it’s like infinite vigor. I LOVE dragon riding. It’s so fun.

I wouldn’t be surprised with that the further we get into the expansion they will end up adding more skills to unlock to allow us to stay in the sky with very little trouble.

I point my camera all the way up and then use the ascent, you get altitude and speed at the same time.

Another tip is to play with your camera angle so you always have the Thrill of the Skies buff. Remember this is about momentum. You can gain momentum by flying downward then gain height by using skyward ascent then level out but with an ever so slight downward pitch to keep the buff.

I was having trouble reaching that difficult glyph at the northern part of the map. A friendly player saw I was struggling and gave me the tip to tilt downward for a second before tilting back up and using skyward ascent. You gain much more altitude that way. It worked! I got the glyph on the second try after that tip.

That tip and keeping Thrill of the Skies up made all the difference for me. That buff is what recharges your vigor quickly. Even while flying! When maxed out you will never run out of vigor.

I had my doubts, but completely filling out the skill tree is really a night and day difference. Your vigor almost becomes self sustaining at a certain point.
