Trying this with 2 hunters. We’ve wiped a few times and everything we’ve tried hasn’t worked. He reaches 100 energy very fast then we enter phase 2 where he’s basically 100% life. The platform is destroyed in seconds and the lava kills us instantly. What are we doing wrong?

find more people, that’s the only solution right now, brute force it with more DPS, since they won’t fix old content scaling.

Have you actually been doing the mechanics? Use a pet to tank the maiden or whatever it’s called in front of the beam? Seemed to work last time I tried with a friend.

The devs published hotfixes saying they fixed it, so as far as they’re concerned, it’s no longer an issue 
I’m hoping more people keep bringing it up, I want it ACTUALLY addressed. I don’t want more smoke blown up my rear.
Edit; As mentioned, some mechanics actually can’t be ignored and this may be one of them.

Every time I do a Legion Mythic on any of my 60s and I have a hard time with a boss I put in a bug report saying it’s clearly still not working correctly. That’s probably gonna get more attention than forum posts, so hopefully lots of people are doing that as well.

What causes the avatar to gain energy?
If you look, there is a beam that shoots at him from various points in the back of the room. You have to move the additional mob (maiden of something I think) in front of that beam instead of killing it right away, or ignoring it all together. The beam is what is causing your problems.
pull him to a corner, he’ll destroy less paltform.
The issue OP is having is the dude was smashing the floor and falling down with full HP. That boss can’t be brute forced by two lowly level 60s at full HP down there with the current state of Legion raid scaling.
Ok nothing suggested so far has worked. We are 2 hunters trying to do this. Even pulling the avatar to a beam, she dies and somehow he still gets 100 energy and we go to phase 2 and instantly die. This is beyond ridiculous and should not be this hard.
If you want a hand I’d be happy to assist, I just have to see if I have a Horde character high enough level to enter the raid. You’re welcome to add me though and we can find out - ok I left my btag up for 10 mins so I’m taking it down now.

Attempting legacy content. Blizzard made it clear they don’t want us doing anything that isn’t current.

You don’t have to add me if you don’t want, but I do have a level 45 Horde character at the entrance to lend a hand if you want. I don’t need or want any drops.
Get friends. Worked for me earlier this week.
Just about every time anyone complains to blizzard about their janked up level scaling and how we’re actually weaker at 60 than we were at 50, their response is “do level 60 content”

He gains energy as the fight goes on, theres no way to avoid it.
Got it down with 3 other people but last boss is insanely over powered right now. We gave up after a few tries. Its not worth it and I feel Legion isn’t scaled right.
