Returning player from 2004 - 2008, 2018 - 2019.
Via Curse I installed an updated version of Scrolling Combat Text to give it a try and didn’t like the lack of options that exist compared to what I used to be able to do with this once great mod.
Anyway somehow some of the SCT “features” that weren’t present before I installed the Addon via Curse are STILL in game. I’ve had this happen before with several addons over the years. I know it’s something to do with clearing addon file changes to my game files from my Main User folder, but I have no idea where to look.
Any help would be appreciated
woah woah woah…why would you STILL be using a computer you had from 2019?
also as for your question…your probably better off completely deleting the game from your computer and starting over.
just save the important addons and uninstall/reinstall.
Parent folders path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_
Clear out items in the Interface and WTF folders should get you started. Just delete files related to addons you no longer use.

I just installed the addon and tried it out today.
so…you quit the game in 2019 and your post makes it sound like the files have been in there SINCE 2019. as i said if its been in there that long just uninstall/reinstall completely clean it will save you a massive headache either way.
