For those who had the Corrupted Ashbringer prior to the launch of WotLK (and we know Blizz has the tech to do it as players who get the Spirit of Competition from the trading post pet do not get the related achievement) get a Feat of Strength achievement giving them the title The Ashbringer and/or The Scarlet Highlord.
Then add a cool/epic questline for Paladins, Warriors, or Death Knights where we obtain Azmourne’s Corrupted Ashbringer as a legendary weapon (and transmog).
This is reasonable in my view. I don’t buy the “this should stay very special because it’s unique” argument that some have presented, considering that a variant of the CA was introduced 7 years ago for Paladins.
Bring back the original appearance and make its acquisition an epic experience.
I think something along the lines of this is coming at some point.
There is no way that this weapon would make a cameo appearance in Time Rifts and not eventually be obtainable.

They really had a golden opportunity to bring back Ashbringer when they brought back Old Naxx…
Blizz should send an ingame mail everytime they re introduce something back into the game.

What if the new one is same skin but one of the other ashbringer skins that gets corrupted like vanilla, so like a yellow green or blue guard.
You have seen what you need to do for the Ashrbinger Hidden Artifact appearance right? Pretty much all of that old vanilla theories to obtain it.

You gotta do the DK start zone and kill all the argent NPCs solo, if another player shows up, you can’t get it

Let’s do it. Can they include a questline to reforge Frostmourne without the corruption for DKs? The Crown of Wills can help remove the corruption or whatever, I don’t care what nonsense they give for it. I just want my DK to have Frostmourne.
imagine not being happy with the 20 or whatever variations of ashbringer… some people smh.
Collectors just need 1000000000000000 different mounts, pets, purple items in their collection tab just to not use them all and whine when theres two or three removed things from 16 years ago.
You neglected to mention that the “20 or whatever variations of ashbringer” are usable only by a single class.
