How to be hated by others in Classic WoW

Moderator Edit: This thread was quickly derailed by trolling and toxicity. Locking it down.

It looks like many people have forgotten.

  • Leaving trash in chests.
  • Spamming a LFG/LFM/Guild macro in chat.
  • Spamming a guild invite/charter signature to someone who has declined.
  • Pretending that LookingForGroup is a world chat channel.
  • Repeadetly trying to duel someone who has declined.
  • Training mobs to other players.
  • Stealing mobs another player has cleared to.
  • Ganking someone 10+ levels lower than you and/or griefing.
  • Ninja looting, stealing chests, etc.
  • Expecting other classes to play exactly like retail.
  • Letting allies get ganked when you are clearly in a position to help.
  • Giving no tip for services.
  • Rolling need again after having won an item over another party member and someone else who has not recieved an item could use it.
  • Failing to buff back when the time, mana, and ability are all there.
  • Pulling before the tank in dungeon PuGs.
  • Consistently failing to assist tank and/or follow marked kill order.
  • Making your party wait because you want to finish a quest before making your way to a dungeon.
  • Expecting a mage/warlock to give you water/food/healthstone out in the world or city just because they happen to be there.
  • Expecting a rogue to pick a lockbox without asking first.

Trying to have a friendly conversation that doesn’t end in 2-3 posts. Don’t be shy people. Talk. Jesus Christ, so many anti-social people around here.

Walking up to me and saying “water pls” while I’m in the middle of no where doing my thing. I’m not some kind of vending machine people

Grab it and delete it. Pretty damn narcissistic to leave a dead chest that wont re-spawn with something good in it because you’re to lazy to delete something.

  • Letting allies get ganked when you are clearly in a position to help.

This will mostly continue once dishonorable kills become a thing.
As of right now, I’ll jump into just about any fight to help out a fellow hordie, but that will stop if it costs me a dishonorable kill.

One thing that pisses me off, is if we invite a mage to a dungeon run and they don’t want to make food/water for the party, or worse try and charge…
It’s a group, it decreases downtime, and food/water is your party buff, /kick

If it’s a 1v1 situation between even levels then too bad they can’t win a 1v1, work on getting gud. I’ll avenge them but I’m not jumping in on a 1v1

the others I agree with tho

I don’t like bossy people and someone who preaches to others is often not liked.

Well, you’re in luck, because its possible to simple DROP ITEMS to destroy them. Its amazing technology, I know, but it requires just ONE click and drag of the mouse, its amazing.

Lazy.

Doesn’t work when you already have good stuff in your bags you can’t delete. You can’t make another spot out of thin air.

Tips aren’t required. By definition tips are for exceptional service, and fees are a charge for service. If you want money, say my service costs X gold. Don’t expect tips if you aren’t asking for a fee for service.

Catch it and delete or right click to eat. Not too hard

Actually, it sounds like lots of people have remembered every single item on this list and are hard at work doing those things.

Exceptional service… wtf.

Sorry. you are probably like this in RL. A selfish human being who has no regard for others.

Sorry for you (not sorry)

Since everyone makes identical items, what would be exceptional about anything? Charge what you want. Don’t whine about not getting tips.

Calling BS on this.

If you’re looting a chest you have room in your bags for something. Grab the trash first, delete it, then get what you want.

Leaving trash in there so someone can come along and spend a lot of time clearing to it just to clean up your mess… I guess if you’re going to be that person… That’s the person you are.

Yeah, I’m always leaving worthless stuff in unlocked chests I find stashed around western civilization.
