step 1. Start account
Step 2. Roll priest. Spend 1-2 days leveling
Step 3. Get in a dungeon group
Step 4. Wait until a big pull
Step 5. Watch everyone die then hearth
Step 6. Banned? Move on to new account. Rinse and repeat.
Its a no brainer that most people are going to grief other players especially in dungeons on HC. This is just the meta of the WoW community and has been for well over a decade now. The community has gone to trash.
Yeah totally, because most people want to waste hours of leveling only to get banned in a week and spend $60 per month starting new accounts to do this.
Will it happen? Sure. Mental illness is pervasive.
Will it be common? Not really. While people this mentally unhinged do exist in WoW, the vast majority of people operate within normal levels of motivation, and the motivation to do this just doesn’t have an effort to reward ratio that is meaningful to anyone but a person who’s brain is severely compromised in terms of behavioral motivations.
Cute post though.
Not necessarily, they can claim an oops moment.
“I’m soooooo sorry guys, the batteries on my mouse died!”
“Damn, lag spike, soooo sorry guys!”
“My cat was on fire, I’m so so sorry guys!”
Just roll a new character with a different name and gtg.
I guess with the inclusion of HC, WoW is finally going to have griefers playing. So sad that the game has been lucky enough to avoid those people for 13ish years. Truly is the end times. /s
HC/Era/etc will always have greifers, just play around them when you can and report when you get greifed. This isn’t a new internet fad that is just now starting.
Gee … really?
Stop being a party pooper and make up some fun scenarios!
probably worth skipping super early dungeons like RFC. trolls gonna troll sadly
I wouldn’t be surprised if these excuses didn’t matter, and you get banned anyway. Blizzard seemed VERY serious about stopping griefers
The first question would be…
Why?
I guess I am really getting too old for this stuff.
They grief themselves if they’re doing risky pulls.
Any gamer will see this coming from a mile away. If I am at 90% hp on a tank and I don’t see healer casting I am already wondering what is going on.
If I get to 80% and they are still afk I am adjusting strategy.
If i get to like 40% and they are clearly not playing - I just potion, we cc mobs, and safely run out of dungeon.
You may get new players with this low tier grief but not going to kill any gamers.
Sounds like the real grief potential there is as the tank
Really anyone with fear in a dungeon setting.
15 dollars to kill maybe up to 4 other players every day.
Have you ever considered, maybe, just a crazy thought here, being an actual human being for once?
I am never doing any instances when HC comes out precisely for this reason.
Respawn boss is also a big threat. So avoid deep dark caves anywhere.
burp
if thou takest no risk, is lifeth wortheth living? i thinkith not
Serious, like the same kind of serious we see in the banning of bots?
Anyhow, the vast majority will be fine. There’s no reason to skip dungeons over the slight chance that we will be griefed. If pugs are too chancy to you, group with friends and guildies instead.
