How to avoid being camped by a ganker

Run back to your dead body, but don’t rez.
Then log out and go play an alt for 5-10 min.
After player your alt for a few min, there’s a good chance the ganker will have gotten bored waiting for you to rez and will have run off.

Then just log back over to your main and rez on the spot. continue what you where doing and the ganker is gone. … unless you’re in STV, if that’s the case, you can never get away from gankers :stuck_out_tongue:

Or just play on a PVE server and get things done on the character you want to play.

How to avoid getting camped in Retail:

  • Never turn on Warfront
  • Questing? You don’t need to quest. With fast dungeons and +%5000EXP heirlooms you can level up that way.
    • Got killed? Why is warfront on? Why are you questing again?
    • Queue up for dungeon finder, soon as it pops, res and accept! HA! Take that, ganker!
    • Queue up for battlegrounds, soon as it pops, take it, haha, ganker!
  • Zone out of their shard.

Lol. Not sure how everyone else goes about ganking but i don’t talk much when I’m corpse camping.
I’m rolling a mute homicidal, gankpro, corpse campin, whiskey drinking, bacca spitting, fun loving rogue alt. Just for funs.
I’m going to love the realm forums.

When were these added and where do i get em? Mine only get 5-10% exp increase per piece. No where near 5000%.

  1. Leave the character online as ghost using some kind of click bot so they think you’re still around, when you’re really not. I’ve had someone waste HOURS of their time camping my body, despite me not even being at the PC anymore. It was hilarious. While I could have switched characters (see below), I wanted to get off at the time, so I just left the character on and let the guy camp a ghost.
  2. Don’t put the same name on every character. I learned this one when the same pathetic joker from above now decided to stalk all my characters, which could be identified with the name. My solution at the time was to just have them on opposite sides of the continent, then switch whenever he showed up. He actually wasted hours of his time flying back and forth, to whichever was online. Despite his best efforts, he barely affected my farming. I’d just do a few quests, log over, do a few quests, log back. But this could have been avoided if the names were different.

I prefer to leave my 60 rogue in the area where my alt is leveling. Always fun.

I also like to “clear” out the area of lowbies first. Just to be the alpha wolf. Setting the tone for a pvp war in a low zone. Coughstvcough.

reported for botting!

Two best tactics to use in a consistently ganked situation.

  1. Level another character if you’re being gank camped.
  2. Move your 60 to the intended questing zone for your lowbie and log them off.

Commonly used in Vanilla. If you play on a PvE server, well, unflag yourself. Duh.

I will only play in a pvp zone personally.

actually the best solution to avoid getting ganked is to ‘git gud’ and BE the ganker, not the gankee. if every enemy player you come across is dead, there is no one left to gank you. PROBLEM SOLVED.

They didn’t care about the people soloing 5man arenas, or botting honor in AV 24 7. You really think they cared about someone sitting in ghost? Priorities.

You can’t get ganked if you’re the one doing all the ganking. :brain::+1:

One time I was leveling in Un’goro crater and a guy on a flying mount came out from nowhere and killed me 3 times after I rez’d.

Went to watch an episode of a show (30 minutes), came back, within 30 minutes the bloke was shivving me again.

PvP realms might give you the best WoW experience there is, but I’d only recommend it if you are either a student or retired, very time inefficient : X
