Shen’dralar had warlocks and siphoned demons. When they returned to alliance… surely some hidden warlock were within their ranks (cause all warlocks are hidden). At the end of the day warlock is just corrupted mage. If someone can be mage - he can become warlock.
Cause they kicked them all out and unlike mages they never invited them back.
Also Warlocks aren’t corrupted mages. Warlocks chose to be Warlocks. They chose to study demonology and fel over the arcance.
WHAT?
Warlocks are nothing like mages.
Felmages!!
Haven’t you seen nightborne?
What does a race has to do with the class?
EDIT: Nightbourne were isolated for 10,000 years. Night Elves wasn’t. Those who became Warlocks couldn’t be exiled.
For non-hero classes, their available race/class combos aren’t a matter of what combinations exist or are possible, but which ones are common or mainstream. Night elf magi have always existed, but before Cata they were not considered a genuine part of night elven society. In Cata they became part of society once more and made a concerted effort to demonstrate their worth, thereby moving into the mainstream. Even rogues or warlocks are, if not welcomed, at least considered useful by some races - but not all.
With hero classes it’s a bit different, because they’re just not that common to begin with. In that case it’s more about whether the race is a meaningful part of the faction. Night elves and blood elves are accepted parts of the Illidari. A random individual demon hunter of another race who managed to wrangle an audition, though, doesn’t mean that demon hunters of that race are mainstream enough to be playable.
Lets be honest, Warlocks are the improvement on Mages. Mages are just HighSchool dropouts that cant handle their arcane magics.
Lore matters. Some of us are still not happy about night elf mages. Night elf warlocks? Hell no.
Says the one playing a class that fuelled the fire in Teldrassil. Oh yes, we all know Shamans actually generated a storm and sent it over there.
The burning of Teldrassil was a visual improvement.
Lies. We all know the Dwarves needed more firewood.
Just a happy coincident.
I thought warlock night elves were the theme of the Satyrs? And the blood elves?
Night Elves who delved in fel became Satyrs. Blood Elves are a big NO. Unlike Night Elves, the Blood Elves mad a different transformation called FelBlood, which only existed in the deathbed of the Burning Crusade. You don’t see any more aside from ONE who sought power back in WoD whos tragic death resulted in some somber quest rewards.
We still see satyrs in Legion and possibly in BfA, but FelBloods ceased to exist when Kil’jaedan was forced to fall back at the end of Burning Crusade.
Again, Night Elf warlocks became satyrs. Blood Elf warlocks didn’t continue down the fel progression without Kael’thas’ guidance to make them feed on enough fel to corrupt their blood and thus mutate them.
Satyrs = Corrupted Night Elves =/= Corrupted Blood Elves.
FelBlood = Corrupted Blood Elves =/= Corrupted Night Elves.
Satyrs exist. FelBloods died off.
Satyrs got a model update in Legion, and FelBloods didn’t.
Simple.
Technically a Warlock is a Mage but backwards.
Mages are order wizards. Warlocks are chaos wizards
No, get it right. Warlocks is the class that refuses to share there souls with Demon Hunters while Mages surrender there souls to Demon Hunters just to be able to live
Oh, I am totally willing to give all the souls I’ve collected to Demon Hunters.
Two Soul Shards at a time.
Wrapped in a Chaos Bolt.
Thrown at their eyeless faces.
DON’T DO IT! IT’S A TRAP!
You’re just giving more of yourself away for Demon Hunters to be here.
And what is that supposed to mean?!
