How the Story should have continued after the Burning of Teldrassil

So the Burning of Teldrassil happened, most night elves were wiped out, their land taken, destroyed etc.
Everything as Blizzard has written it could’ve stayed, but the story after that should’ve been way different:

  • In 8.1, Tyrande became the Night warrior, instead of almost losing against Nathanos, she should’ve killed him right there. Nathanos hasn’t played an important role in all of BfA besides reading quest texts, he should’ve died there facing the power of a deity. Also, there should either be mind control involved in Delaryn and Sira joining Sylvanas or they should’ve betrayed Nathanos right on the spot and helped kill him. Similar as when Godfrey shot Sylvanas after he was raised.

  • After Nathanos died, the Night Elves should’ve reclaimed Darkshore and Ashenvale instead of just having a 50/50 fight in Darkshore and not being able to claim anything of it back to this day.

  • After the events of Durotar and the Revolution, Anduin/Shandris should’ve demanded justice for those that were genocided and even though the horde can’t bring those back to life that they’ve killed, they could’ve given the Night Elves Stonetalon (and perhaps Azshara back) under the condition that they won’t attack Orgrimmar from there (obviously, since they’re at peace). Instead, Anduin just left Orgrimmar instantly even though he had Baine and Thrall there that would’ve probably agreed to these measures.

  • Lastly, Horde druids, shamans and builders should’ve went to the Night Elves’ lands and helped them regrow and rebuild the land that they’ve destroyed. Also, it would be a nice little touch if sylvanas loyalists in chains had to rebuild the houses etc.

  • We don’t know how the Sylvanas story is going to continue, but wouldn’t it be nice if Tyrande was the one to kill Sylvanas?

This is how peace could happen. Some Night Elves would still grieve about their family and friends that they’ve lost, but there would atleast be some compensation efforts from the horde, and THEN it would’ve made sense to have peace.

Everything else could’ve stayed the same, they only had to change these little things and the whole Night Elf story would be fixed now. There would be no need for revenge anymore and the current state of peace would make a lot more sense, instead we got this horrible mess and the devs refusing to continue their own story. If anything, it would’ve improved the current story a lot.

Tell me what you think

Horde would get away with the genocide but they have to help the night elves rebuild their civilization and their lands after giving it back to them. Then there could be peace.

Idk. At this point, Nathanos may just stab Sylvanas in the heart as he says “you will always be my queen.”

Chill out. How many of these outrage, victim NE threads are you going to create? The war literally JUST ended, and the Kaldorei plot is clearly not finished with Anduin’s comments. There are THREE (perhaps FOUR) Core Horde races rendered without leadership atm, and we don’t have an acting leader of the Faction atm. Yet you don’t see Horde players screaming that we need them replaced RIGHT NOW. Patience Tyrande jeez…

Also, Azshara was never yours. I do not understand how Azshara of all zones is one that the NEs continually complain that the Horde now has. You had THREE NE npcs in that zone in Vanilla, and its right in the Horde’s back yard. The NEs also barely controlled any of it, seemingly perfectly content letting it fester as a bunch of Naga infested ruins. At least until the Goblins were allowed to move in and actually make it their new Home. That zone is my PCs turf now, lay off!

I heard there were two factions in the game. And the Alliance is more than one race.

So you disagree with the things I suggested or?

The reason why Azshara should be given back (imo) is because it would somewhat compensate the genocide they’ve commited. And no further horde NPCs would have to die other than Sylvanas. Surely the night elves could then trade lumber with the horde as they did before cata before the horde decided to attack again.

also,

as many as it takes for blizz to reconsider their decisions. If you don’t like it, I won’t force you to read them. But it’s away to actually let Blizzard know that they forgot something.

So you’re solution is the remove MY PCs new home then?

Because we Gobs aren’t getting Kezan back. We aren’t getting the Undermine Back. At least in no real level (considering its essentially just a glorified mining town for Azerite, which bodes very ill). Bilgewater Harbor is our ONLY territory we hold … and YOU want to “take it back” (it was never really yours … the NEs didn’t care about it until the Horde moved in) so that the NEs are allowed another zone of resources they don’t use. Goodie…

Well I never actually thought of Azshara as a home to the goblins, I saw it more of a testing area for their mechs.
Either way, would you be fine with it if in the future, goblins got kezan and worgen got gilneas back?

If I recall correctly, Garrosh gave it to the Gallywix after they joined the Horde. And Azshara was given to the Horde in all after the Horde-Alliance War because as far as I am aware nobody really wanted Azshara in the first place.

No, because Kezan is an unstable, GOD blood laden mess. It is not possible to build a lasting civilization on that island anymore, and the Undermine is gone. Hell, even Gallywix admits that it was partially due to HIS harvesting of just a TINY vein of Azerite that attributed to the island being as unstable as it already was before Deathwing came in and popped that balloon. Its a place to harvest a very dangerous resource, it is NOT a place to rebuild (especially when the Azerite subplot inevitably turns dark … like it will).

EDIT: If you don’t understand that there are quite of few PC races in this game that are unlikely to EVER get their ancestral homes back … I don’t know what to tell you? The Draenei aren’t getting Argus back. The Orcs aren’t getting Draenor (either AU or MU IMO). The Darkspear will NEVER get the Darkspear Isles back. And its VERY unlikely the Goblins could really make Kezan a home again.

Tyrande was “convinced” by Varian to agree to pull her forces out of Azshara if the Horde pulls out of Ashenvale. Because when you beat a hostile force of inavding gencoiders the correct thing to do concede land to them.

If we’re rewriting the story, I’d rather go all the way and say Teldrassil didn’t burn. Or if it absolutely had to, it should have been burned by the Night Elves on their way out after evactuating, to cheat Sylvanas of her prize.

You took both Gilnean and NE homes.

What is wrong with taking the goblins as retaliation?

Giving Azshara stonetalon and Ashenvale back

lol

they could take Darkshore and should have made Ashenvale the warfront instead

I’m sure it was a lot of work to pull those 3 elf’s out of it. Also, the Horde have had a large presence in Stonetalon since vanilla. Probably larger than the Alliance had.

What would this solve? The whole point of “breaking the cycle” is stop the pointless back and forth. It doesn’t matter if the Horde has been bad, grinding each other into nothing is not worth it and mutual campaigns of genocide are an awful route to go down.

story-wise, The Horde need to do war reparations to the Alliance, especially the NE.
A few that I can think of:

  1. Removal of Horde presence in Darkshore, Felwood, Winterspring, Azshara, Ashenvale
  2. Dismantle defense and wall in Orgrimmar
  3. De-industrialization of Horde war factories
  4. Alliance occupation with peacekeeping force and personal bodyguards for warchief inside half of Orgrimmar; at Valley of Honor
  5. All businesses, vendors in Orgrimmar to be owned by Alliance, but hired Horde civilians for its services
  6. Horde war criminals and civilians labor in Darkshore and Teldrassil to clear the Blight and nurture the nature
  7. Horde younglings under 18 to be taught under Alliance guidance in Orgrimmar, with 6 months rotation to Stormwind for cultural and moral education tour

your post could have ended here. We’re generally aware that Ëlësåna is upset that the nelves haven’t gotten their vengeance yet.

Just bump one of the 50 threads you’ve already made. Please stop spamming the board with new nelf outrage threads.

I’m upset that they have gotten nothing and will get nothing according to devs. That’s why I make threads (they don’t have the same content btw) to try and change their minds.

There is an entrance from Azshara into Orgrimmar. No reasonable leader will accept giving up Azshara to a group of people who have every reason not to use that back door to attack Orgrimmar. It’s a security risk. Furthermore no one owns Stonetalon, we currently don’t know the exact status of Stonetalon.

I’m hoping that this is the case, especially in light of the reveal that Tyrande is hunting Sylvanas.

You know I think it would be neat if they tried creating a new Teldrassil and the different reactions it would cause. Like you have Alliance NPCs thinking that it’s a long con or trap and others who see it as a sincere effort, while Horde NPCs could complain about how dismissive the night elves were in rejecting their help and others pointing they aren’t wrong to feel that way.

Yeah Tyrande waved off any rights to Azshara but vowed to protect Ashenvale. She was also dismissive of the resources in Azshara lasting due to goblin’s habit of using them.

Felwood barely has any Horde presence and Winterspring is neutral, the only known Horde or Alliance presence is our flight masters for Everlook.

The expectation that you are given SOMETHING is faulty to begin with; yet I truly am jealous that the Alliance playerbase can still make such demands from BfA.
