Both sides are equal as per the developers themselves and both rewards are fair and balanced. Alliance decides to turn WM off because they don’t want to fight for a measly 10%. This made the horde dominant in WM.

The alliance that didn’t turn WM off complain until Blizzard gives them a 30% buff and free heroic raiding gear every week that only they can get. Excited at this unfair advantage the alliance turns WM on en mass and proceeds to camp horde for 7 weeks straight preventing them from doing assaults, camping their capitol cities, and camping FPs.

Horde finally get pissed and ask the Q&A why the alliance is getting all these free rewards for camping them. Blizzard takes out most of the unfair advantage admitting they went too far with it, alliance complain there’s no unfair advantage and threaten / claim they’re turning WM off.

Sound about right?

Also, this drastic change in WM rewards also proves that the system in place wasn’t some automated thing that changed based on actual faction balance because horde players complained about it since 8.1 and turned WM off after almost the first week.

If it were truly a system that worked, it would have gone down 5% per week at best. Not all of a sudden this drastic change.

Both sides did not start out equal. Early sharding gave Horde a numerical advantage, so Horde cowards stayed with their easy ganking situation while alliance understandly decided that being ganked was pointlessd and turned warmode off. IF you want to show how tough you are, go PVP alliance where you will generally be outnumbered by HORDE. Why is it OK when Horde does 20v1 to Alliance, but it is wrong when Alliance does 20v1 to Horde? Hordes are not only cowards but hypocrits.

The game developers themselves said it was fair and competitive, so who should we believe? The people who make the game or a salty player?

So much for population imbalance :slight_smile: nice 30% bribe brings them out of the woodwork…there was never a faction imbalance, I play on Illidan alliance, we are crz’ed with Sargeras, there are many of us, we just dont have any interest in warmode, you have to understand, many of us have been in warmode for years, we dont care anymore…I am happy to quest and not corpse run or run for my life anymore…keep the 30% bribe, I have no use for it…we are just happy with the peaceful questing

There was an initial shard imbalance problem, ION said so himself. They fixed it, but by then many Alliance had gotten tired of being ganked by Horde groups and had decided to turn warmode off. As far as turning warmode back on, that proves nothing. That was done selectively.

If you think that your comments disparaging Alliance players is going to somehow goad them into turning warmode on to play with you, think again. After reading so many vicious comments from Horde players, I have no intention of ever turning warmode on, I have no desire to play with such people.

Actually, Ion remarked in the last Q&A (starting around 6 minutes in) that at the start of BfA, Warmode was fairly balanced in terms of population but then the sharding matchmaking system was not balancing factions properly and the Alliance were getting tossed into shards where they were outnumbered. So the Alliance started turning off Warmode. And then they noticed Horde started turning on Warmode to get the easy 10% reward since there were few Alliance left in Warmode. And that’s how it sat for months until the Alliance got the increase to a 30% buff.

If that were the case it wouldn’t have taken 7 weeks of alliance getting free heroic raiding gear and ganking everyone in sight. You players complain until you get free hand outs, admit it.

Until more free gear is undoubtedly handed out again because the alliance is composed of players like you. You only want to PvP when you get an blatantly unfair advantage and are running around camping people. :roll_eyes:

I would like to report things seem better in wm!

Horde seems to be embracing grouping and we are both killing eachother and no one seems too out numbered. There’s still some fp farming, but it’s not too bad lol. I mean it’s still fp farming, but what can you do.
