Though the Legion is defeated, the Army of the Light should still take on a role like the Grey Knights from warhammer 40k, showing up where rogue demon bands pop through into our world, and slaying them by the hundreds with their holy infused weapons.

Yeah but don’t forget, the Light is equally as power mad as the Void and all the other cosmic powers. The Legion was an obstacle because it was destroying what the Light wanted to rule. That’s done so now it’s time to go a crusadin’! Get ready to kill your mom because she’s kind of not religious!

I’m not so sure the Legion is defeated, but they definitely took a hit when they lost Sargeras at their side. The endless swarms of demons are likely just more disorganized now.

Light’s real fight is not against the Legion, it is against the Void. We will see the army of the light soon, when the Light vs Void expac comes.
We have to assume people who reject the light are possessed by demons!
But really, the light is not that crazy, I think the Light from AU Draenor, the one enslaving the orcs, is different because the AU messed it up. MU Light isn’t evil, Maybe Xe’ra got too feely with Illidan, but is forcibly redeeming a Demon all that bad?
No, cosmic powers traverse timeways. Draenor is an anomaly anyway because alternate timelines usually collapse. But since this Draenor is connected to the real Azeroth, our Azeroth, it endures but it’s slowly withering up and dying. The naaru are there using their draenei pets to genocide orcs who prefer lava burst over holy fire.
