I think rogues are incredibly unremarkable in lore.
They’re pretty low powered in terms of raw power.
They use martial skills and a small amount of shadow magic for utility.
No one ever sees them coming. Or going. Or doing anything. Thus, their achievements are unrecorded.

In reality a good rogue can be very dangerous. A poisoned drink or dagger can kill even the greatest warriors, like Cairne. And well placed traps could sabotage and ruin the best defenses. They aren’t the most powerful, but they don’t really need to be. They’re in the shadows, not the front lines.
Plus the factions would be in the dark if it wasn’t for rogues and spies out in the field gathering intel. Every assault would be going in blind and probably fail without them.

Idk Sylvanus calculated that 2 crappy rogues were enough to destroy thrall before saurfang showed up. Then again their writing is all around terrible
their power level isnt crazy high but the impact they have can be

I think those Rogues would have either taken him out or almost killed him, like Vol’jin. Not because they were more powerful, Thrall was unprepared. His weapon was buried, he was alone and his head was up his butt.

As strong as their plot armor dictates them to be at any given plot point in the story.
