Probably a better question for the arena forum. If I find myself 1v1 as a healer in a BG I’m mainly just looking for escape strategies.
Though some healers can out out a lot of damage, they don’t have massive burst capabilities so what Matt mentioned is signficant.
Going to be very hard to beat a DPS that can self heal or has a good chunk of it or those that can stealth and restart., I suppose you can win, but the DPS would have to actually get seriously outplayed or simply not react well to their own defensive situations.
I have beat some folks on my resto shaman and disc priest though because they get careless or simply start tunneling but it probably shouldn’t happen very often.
Define “win”. If someone attacks me out in the open world, they are likely not going to kill me. However, I’m very likely not going to kill them either. What usually happens is they give up and run away, and I don’t have the tools to chase someone down. Even if they stay and fight, it can be a stalemate for a long time, since non-healing classes have enough self-heals to live through any damage I can do.
They both lose due to the waste of time

1v1’ing a healer usually just ends with cramped fingers.
I remember getting “tanked” by a disc priest back and forth across the WSG map. Don’t waste your time one on one, lol.
^ This. Win or lose it takes longer than I care to invest. A DPS either has to run me out of mana, or I’ve got to wittle their health down, wait out their CDs, pop wings, then land a HoJ, and burn down their remaining 30 or 40% of health before they can stun/kite/heal to get back to safe health levels.
If Hpals had rebuke it would be a different story, but currently dueling someone who isn’t bad at dueling is a pain.

Last week I fought a Resto Druid for 5 minutes in Gurubashi arena for the chest and ended up dying . Frankly I was glad I died , my fingers were hurting . Next time I will just turn and run away .

Disc priests are pretty broken. They are the tankiest of the healers, can fear you often and do the most damage of the healers.
Definitely the strongest 1 vs 1

It depends on the ilvl gap between you and the healer. If both of you are 220, you can expect that it could take at least 15-20 minutes.
