Each time you swap, you have to go through an attunement questchain through UBRS, MC, and get an item next to the opposing faction leader’s side.

This is probably insane. But maybe you can swap anywhere, with the exception of dungeons? Maybe you have to reset your instance to swap specs to avoid hotswapping mid run
If it is going to require you to go back to a main city, does this mean warlocks are going to be in high demand?

I am 100% super pro in favor of DS, however I also want limitations on this.
I like raiding and take PvE seriously. For me, waiting for ppl to swap endlessly inside raid, fully drink their water, is unacceptable and selfish to everyone else.
classic 2019 I was in a speed clear team where we changed characters in some fights until WCL sorta ended those as parses for speed clears. Still cant understand why Sand is banned but we can get any other WB.

Literally this…why do people think just because DS in the game people will be switching constantly? Is this how you think it works currently in other iterations of the game? Because its not, sure some people swap for some fights, but it’s not mandatory lol its usually just a DPS going healer or vice versa (same with an extra tank)
In addition, what does it matter if they’re swapping? Does the spec their playing really ruin your day this much?

Honestly mages are the biggest ones… and potentially warriors.
there are fights where simply put fire or frost is significantly better. as in, hands down better.
BWL it is per trash pack, Some of those mobs are insanely good against fire or frost… and not just the one you detect magic on.
Warriors for cleave fights might want sweeping strikes… but idk.
I think its best to simply not allow it outside of major cities, so we dont even need to go down the road of “changes we need” halfway through a phase.

well if you don’t need to switch constantly then you’ll have no problem being restricted to only switching at the trainer

yup, there’s plenty of reasons to switch specs mid raid. don’t know why people are pretending otherwise
I simply want DS because the gold cost of 100-300g a week is simply too much for me to manage.
I am thankful for the gift of DS, but i am very open to limitations as to prevent exploiting.
