There’s a website called data for azeroth that will tell you basically any statistic you like. Looks like 25% of accounts have one.

Wowhead says 15% and my in game addon LiteMount says 25.5% I do not know how they get their numbers however.

25% of accounts possess this means of transportation.

As someone who has put a lot of effort into collecting numerous rare mounts, I’d like to give the following advice: ride the mount that you find the most visually appealing, not the one that’s the rarest. This way, you’ll enjoy the game and the experience of riding your mount much more.

I’d need a tape measure to give you an accurate degree of rarity.

wowhead says 15% of profiles have it

for comparison it says 11% have the Time lost Protodrake

I don’t have the timereaver, but TBF, I don’t play any of the content that it drops from so yea, prolly not gonna happen unless I change my ways.

I do have the TLP tho

If it were a baseball card you’d get a nickel.

Wowhead provides inaccurate statistics because it only accounts for Wowhead users, not all players. Use DataforAzeroth instead.

never used that site myself.

how do they gather data?

Judging by the fact that you can find the profile of absolutely any character, they must be collaborating with Blizzard.

mine doesn’t show on it, I just searched for it

edit: it shows, but all the data is missing because of my privacy settings

“This character appears to have account-wide achievements disabled and has therefore been excluded from statistic calculations.”

I want it this way so I’m not changing anything for them

In your account settings, look for an option like “Display on partner websites” or something similar. Blizzard has a default setting enabled that allows fan sites to collect gameplay statistics. Most likely, you manually disabled it at some point.

yea, I’d rather just have per toon stuff showing.

the toon I’m playing is what others need to see, not every toon on all of my accounts.

I turned those privacy settings on on purpose

No one will ever be able to see your alts unless you use an addon like Check-PvP or something similar.

per toon is fine.

I share data with wowhead thru their addon and other ways

It’s got an extremely low drop rate, I’d hazard a guess it is probably somewhere close to the drop rate of the holiday boss drops. However, unlike them, this mount can drop off every timewalking dungeon boss and perhaps raid boss, without lockouts on said dungeons, and is up way more frequently than those events, so it’s unsurprising how widespread it is.

In terms of drop rate its rare.
But in terms of who has it, it’s pretty common.

It’s been around for a while and you can roll the dice for it many many times.

25%.

I got mine in WoD, doing a timewalking marathon to level an alt.

I remember, it was specifically MoP timewalking, the Shado-Pan dungeon in Kun-Lai.

looks like almost 2,000,000 people have one. Guess it’s not that rare lol

Check-pvp can sniff out anyone’s alts. No addon required. The only defense is either using a toon that’s never pvpd or is max level or register on their website and block your characters manually.
