Haven’t played in a bit, but killed Corpse Eater twice and he dropped it. Was I lucky or are these mounts like 5% chance or so?

The drop chance is 0.96%. You’re definitely lucky.

Corpse Eater mount is pretty rare. It’s a great mount though. Enjoy.

I got my corpse eater today after 51 attempts. Done with all 8 from uldum and vale. Ishak took longest with 81 attempts. 16 attempts with rotfeaster 6 attempts with xinlao and rens hound. 8 with clutch of ha-li and 31 attempts with pristine scale for rajani warserpent.
Farming with alts help. 7 per faction here.
I got them all with my army of alts. Corpse Eater did take me the longest to get though.

When it comes to the new ones so far I’ve only got the pet battle mount down there. Haven’t been lucky with the others. In saying that I have been lucky on the other side of the werld and have both serpent mounts from The Vale.

I ended up getting him but I really want Rotfeaster’s, not enough to roll alts or anything but it would be nice.
I haven’t looked into the spawn time of that bird but I swear I only see that thing up on the map once in a blue moon. I must be unlucky.
Its got one of those annoying spawn times where it can be up in 30 min or over two hours… really rely on the kind people that put him up in group finder and will just keep checking for groups as I wait on him, if he pops for me i’ll throw up a group myself for people.
Course then you invite folks who just pop their CDs and just start “blasting” before you can even invite all the rest of the people waiting.
They should have made the invasion rares more like Mechagons, short snappy respawns.

Yep. I’ve said before that any rare that drops a mount with a ridiculously low droprate should always be up or the very least a 5 minute spawn.
I can understand making the spawn time long if the mount drop is 100%.
People have other stuff to do in game than wait around.

I racked up almost 200 Corpse Eater kills before I finally got the mount but on the other hand, I got Rotfeaster’s mount in under 20 IIRC.
As the old saying goes: Rng is rng.

Ah, thank you. I was looking at the warcraft mounts site and didn’t see anything so I was confused. Then again, I am often confused lol.
