Blizzard did a ban wave a few weeks ago and arena immediately gets noticeably easier at 1900 rating and we climb after being stuck in the upper 1800s for months.
A week later we are playing almost every game against people with brand new accounts and they are playing like Gods. Another week passes and it is even worse.
I just don’t trust Blizzard at this point.
If you can’t climb, likely botting involved.

That zero accountability take is the main reason people get stuck and can never reach their goals.
Blame externals factors all you’d like, but you’re never going to climb that way. You’re just going to rationalize being stuck wherever you are.
The harsh reality is that what’s left of the playerbase at 1900ish is largely 2400+ xp players learning new specs, and they’re able to crush you because of a lot of things carry over as far as game knowledge, positioning, cd trading, etc.
I’d guess that you maybe encounter a bot once every hundred games, if that.
It’s just that 1900 atm is now starter mmr, and with how easy it is to level, you’re going to get a good mix of facing very high xp players on their alts of a spec they are really good at or just learning, which either way I can agree, is a nightmare for new players and extreme casuals.
At the end of the day though blaming bots won’t help you climb. You’re going to have to take some accountability and be critical of your own gameplay, and only then can you start the process of improving and climbing toward your goal.

It’s not. I’ve heard this for years and I play my fair share of 3’s and people aren’t cheating. If they are, the cheats suck lol. People just HATE taking accountability. Personality flaw as old as time.
When did I say I was not accountable for the rating I’m at? And does my personal view of accountability influence whether or not people cheat in game? What a stupid response.
I have about 700 games played on this toon in 2s this season. If I cared so much about rating I would have quit because I’m not a great player and have never hit rival 2. What does bother me is when there is a ban wave for cheating and we climb almost 100 points immediately. That does not happen. And then magically there is a wave of new accounts all at once who play like gods. I care about the integrity of the game.
If I am wrong then argue the points. I hope I am wrong because PvP isn’t doing well right now and cheating only makes it worse for those of us who cannot spend ever waking moment playing Warcraft.

No one is playing like gods at any rating, much less 1800.
When going up 100 points, thats a lucky 3 games won you’d have otherwise lost AND inflation. Starting mmr is above 1900 atm, and you’re close to a 50% winrate, so you should be closer to that 1900 mark!
I promise, this is a perception and understanding thing. If you post any vod of any of your games I’m more than happy to review them and point out what you and/or the other team could do better and what mistakes there are or aren’t.
I hope you are right but I simply do not have faith in blizzard especially with PvP or keeping their game clean.
Tbh if I was gonna cheat I would go with a proven SP/Ele bot. Imagine paying for and using a low quality bot and being hardstuck like 1800 or smthing.
Like that one supa ran into in DF and made a video on. That thing was nuts and str8 up 1 vs all ele.
I wonder if it comes out the box like that or dude has some geeked out settings. Like an actual high XP player that knows what to tune kicks for, so it like ignores fear/incin and will kick and ground bolts for example, defensives etc. Otherwise it would be kind of easy to jebait a bot and kill it. I sort of suspect that someone like is alrdy very high XP and tweaks bot settings heavily to perform so well to R1 range. Unless I’m mistaken and it comes out the box that way and the dev who made it is R1 or smthing themselves.
Any known multi r1s that are good with programming? Lets have us a witch hunt.
Forget to add I don’t think bots can really make up for human cunning either. If your just W keying and doing global perfect dmg/kicks it doesn’t win games alone. Thats easy to outplay esp if player behind it sucks. Drag to bad spot kill, hard swap on no defensives etc. I figure there is alot more bots then ppl realize but most are just bad players and wont go far with it.
Guys I’m telling you something weird happened. I’ve climbed before. This wasn’t like that. The ban wave hit and the game got noticeably easier. Did anyone else here have a similar experience?
I am aware of the top players having long queue times so they play the alt game. I personally like this though I think it’s bad for the game. I would never get to fight them otherwise and it’s great practice. But there were so many new accounts all at once and the timing of it being right after the ban wave was weird. Just seems odd to me.
its just you man, there are so many botting programs a banwave doesn’t get every single one of them and its usually just one cus they have so many safeguard/protocols its not like blizz wipes board entirely clean.
Like i said above bots are easy to beat anyway if ppl are using them its not doing anything a human cant come close to and W keying with global perfect dam and running a kickbot wont get u far by itself.
Sure on some specs it can prob get a ton of mileage but its not like they could win the awc with it or hit the highest points of ladder with that alone.
Certainly not gatekeeping below 2k with them lol. I’ll bet a token I would absolutelty wallop the best bot you can buy for any class barring like shamans/sp/ret in a 1v1 no matter how good it is just by outplays alone that any low xp mage would prob lose too and think its op.
I just want to know what is up with the glitchy people. It is not lag. So, what is it that makes them glitch all over the place?
idk tbh, if you lag n dc in wow you run in place normally
it looks like a fps lagswitch that shows on our screen in place but they arent hittable then teleport across map.
no clue how thats done or with what. that said i see it alot in open world never in arena besides the 2 aeg showed.
there is ally on my shard that gank duro and lagswitch thingy out fairly often and teleport 200 yards away the same way
Yeah, I have only seen it in open world once. I see it in twos. Not so much this week or last but for about a month it was pretty bad. It just doesn’t make sense how two pcs not top end but top end of mid range decent graphics, ie we don’t lag at any events all of a sudden it is just one of us but no the other then it will switch to the other. I mean we sit next to each other so its not hard to see what’s going on. I have seen lag spikes but its like sugar rush from wreck ralph. Rarely is it both of us at the same time.
